Welcome to this flight report on a trip to Italy that I made last month. This time was my 2nd time in Italy.
Introduction:
My family had decided to go on a trip of all the generations of the family (Grandpa&ma, Parents and grandchildren). The Chioce was trip of 10 days in Italy (Toscana and Rome (without Grandpa&ma)).
We invited our tickets (to/from Rome - FCO) on November 2014, 8 months before the flight! EasyJet was the cheaper option with direct flights but the departure time from Tel Aviv is horrible: 10.05PM! I wanted to try the new 737-900 of El Al or the 777 of them, but the problem was that El-Al doesn't fly on saturdays. Alitalia's flights price were high (500$) and they're horrible as I remember from my flight with them to Buenos Aires 4 years ago. 2nd option was a mix of Pegasus Airlines with 1h 50m connection in Istanbul (Sabiha) and back on a short direct flight (3 hours) with EasyJet afternoon. We took that option for 240$ per pax!!! Else, Pegasus offers to send a suitcase (max 20 kg) for each passenger without any charge!
Day of the Flight
I woke up at 4:45AM and I took the taxi to the airport at 5:30AM for 7:55AM flight. The price of the taxi was pretty cheap (20 minutes from Tel Aviv, (100 NIS = 26 USD = 24 EUR).
