So this is your very first FR, you say? It's very good! Much better than MY first report, at least!! :D
As far as I know, Jetstar is a low cost airline, right? I guess there is no onboard catering, is there? Were the flight attendants polite? Are there any additional charges for your luggage? Do you usually fly Jetstar? I'm asking because in my country we have only one low cost airline, but I have never travelled in it.
Thanks for sharing! I'll be looking forward for more FRs from you.
Hey nechus I hope you don't mind me answering your questions with my thoughts as I am also Aussie who flys jetstar, I'm sure Alex will give his perspective to give you some good rounded answers.
Jetstar is a low cost airline even though sometimes prices are stupidly high for certain places they sure are cheaper then Qantas. (I hate Qantas for many reasons but that's for another day). There is onboard catering but you have to pay for it, they also charge you for iPads if you want some entertainment but I don't think they offer these on some short flights. There are additional charges to luggage that you must pay, like $25 Aud for 20kg or $15 I've got those 2 figures stuck in my head, and the more you want the more you pay. Also there is additional charges for some seats. Leg room seats, exit seats and front row. Personally I HATE jetstars seats I dread any flight more than 2 hours as I know it's going to be uncomfortable and I pay an extra $50 for front Row seats and it's still a nightmare.
Unfortunately for me where I currently live I can't afford to fly virgin (my favourite) or Qantas. I can only afford jetstar and tiger. But if you are looking for a flight between major cities on the east coast you really can't beat Jetstar. So cheap and when you are only on the plane for an hour or 2 who cares.

Hey Mognut! On the contrary, thanks for taking the time to reply!

I can't believe it! The last time I flew LAN on a domestic route I only paid an extra US$4 (four dollars) for a front row seat, and they are not a low cost carrier!
