Hello dear reporters!

Voici le retour de mon voyage à Vienne.
Here is the first part of my return trip from Vienna.

The journey was:
-VY 2916 BOD-BCN / VY 8710 BCN-VIE : [here]
-AB 8318 VIE-CDG [here you are]
-AF 7630 CDG BOD [to be published]

On January 17, after four days spent in Vienna with a friend, it was time for me to head back to Bordeaux, France. I chose to reach Schwechat Airport with the S-Bahn: tickets are not very expensive (4 euros) and it only needs 25 minutes.
I arrived at Terminal 1 at 2.30PM. My flight was to depart at 5.10PM. I went to the check-in desk as I couldn't open the text message that would have given me my boarding pass. Fortunately, there was absolutely nobody.

The desk employee handed me my boarding pass within a minute. I passed through security within 15 minutes: even if there was nobody, the distance to walk is quite long.
A view of the apron:

I sat somewhere in the terminal and waited for boarding. It was called at 4.30PM. The flight was half empty: boarding was completed in 15 minutes.

Today's flight was operated by a Niki Airbus A321, OE-LCC. This plane was delivered to Air Berlin in 2010 and transfered to Niki in 2016. However, it still carries the Air Berlin colors. Only a small sticker over door 1L indicates that this Airbus is owned by Niki.
The legroom is more than satisfying. Note that nobody sat next to me.

We pushed back at 5.05PM. Screens were deployed to show the safety demonstrations.

We took off five minutes later.

This late afternoon flight allowed me to catch an amazing sunset.

A sandwich snack was handed by the flight attendants (chicken or veggies). I chose the chicken one.

The flight flew to Nurnberg and Frankfurt before heading to Paris.

We overflew CDG before performing a 180 degrees turn. We landed on runway 09R at 6.35 (35 minutes ahead of schedule).

After a quite soft landing, we taxied to Terminal 3 and parked next to an Enter Air Boeing 737-800.

Conclusion

A very enjoyable flight with Air Berlin/Niki. The cabin was very comfortable, especially because the flight was half empty. Special mention to the free snack (I expected a Buy on Board service) and the ahead of schedule arrival.
