This is the return flight to Seattle. For the outbound flight, see here: https://flight-report.com/en/report/37713/delta-air-lines-dl357-seattle-sea-san-jose-del-cabo-sjd

After a great spring break in Mexico, it was time to fly back. I was sad to leave, but excited to fly, of course. Our flight left in the early afternoon, so there was no rush getting out of the hotel and to the airport. We got to the airport around 11:15am. Delta uses terminal 2, the international terminal. As soon as we got into SJD, we instantly realized check-in would be a slow process: the entire building was packed with people all filed in very long lines. So, we make our way to Delta's line, and after a few minutes of waiting we realized there was another kiosk we had to use before coming into the check-in line. The lines for these kiosks were incredibly long and slow, but we went through the process and very gradually made it through the lines. Security was up the stairs, and the line was actually quite quick. The layout of the airport forced us through the large duty-free section. We bought some Mexican vanilla extract (which is very good!) and entered the terminal. I was excited to hear that we were to board from a gate with no jetway (it's been a long time since I have boarded via stairs). The terminal was extremely crowded, so we waited in the corner for boarding to begin. We walked down a ramp and outide, where we boarded a bus to the plane.

A few minutes on the bus later, and we arrived at our aircraft: N3752, a 2001 737-832. We were parked next to an airline I have not heard of before:

On this aircraft, we got stuck with the old IFE screens, which I really do not like. Anytime I would touch the screen, it would think I tapped about an inch to the right of where I actually did. This got irritating, so I put on the flight tracker. Sadly, it was different from the tracker on the new ones, and it showed less data and was less attractive. I took a terribly low amount of pictures on this flight, so here is the one I have left:

Conclusion

Overall, this was a great trip. The only downsides were the old IFEs and SJD's crowded terminal. Delta is definitely my second favorite airline now, second only to Alaska Airlines!
