So after my week in Geneva was spent, it was time to carry on with my trip and fly to Paris. When checking prices Eastyjet turned to be the cheapest option, almost the same as grabbing a TGV, so I wouldn't miss the chance to fly.
I had tried EZY before, betwen GVA and BCN last year, and found it to be a very decent airline, so I was fine with my choice. BTW this flight would enable me to try the French sector of GVA which I was curious about.
GVA Check In Area, which is way better to the French sector.
French sector check in area it felt aging and really left behind compared to the rest of GVA (which is really lagging compared to ZRH IMO)
Last time I flew ex-GVA I found security to be good, this time it would be a world apart. The security personnel insisted in talking in French even though I told them I did not understand the language, I first talked to one agent who told me I was okay to pass through the metal detectors, only to be told off by a second one who began ranting and so on… eventually the guy let me pass at the third attempt.
The airside of the french sector was really lame, my gate wasn't announced yet, but I continued to the second floor where there would be (partial) view of the local traffic.
An AF Airbus was in the area, I hate GVA's windows…really awful for spotting.
Our plane, HB-EZJ
Fortunately I wouldn't need to move as the Gate turned to be where I already was. Eventually boarding was called. A huge disorganized queue was formed…but in the end everyone got in the plane, it took a lot of time though.
Legroom was appropriate, wouldn't know for longer flights.
This A320 managed to turn around quicker than us…
There are no jumbolinos flying Colombian skies, in the mid 90s there was an airline flying them (SAM, AV's subsidiary), and since then I have always liked the plane.
Take off afforded us with views of GVA's installations.
The amount of GA in GVA is impressive
ATC tower and the Terminal Building
Once airborne, awesome views of the city were possible too…
The French(?) shore of Lake Leman
I dozed for some time as I was really tired here are some of the views…
Eventually we landed in RWY 06 and parked in the west side of Terminal Sud.

Conclusion
Overall it was a regular flight, nothing out of the ordinary, but for a plane geek, this isn't really true, is it?
GVA: I find the amenities at GVA a bit lagging, specially in the French Sector, also the Security personnel was rude and I don't get how come they didn't speak English in a Global city like Geneva (where practically everyone does). BTW now that CH is in the Schengen zone, is there a real necessity to have the airport segregated as it is?
EasyJet: It does the job, the crew was joyful and one of them tried to make the long boarding fun by joking...I find their crews really good.
ORY: I don't recall much of the first time I went there (year 2000) but I could tell there were some changes to the airport, I found it OK. Something I did not like is Public Transport access to Paris.
Thanks for reading, saludos!

I agree that GVA is an old and unattractive airport
