Hello everyone! Welcome to the sixth part and the last part of the trip to Asia. This report will cover the flight from Taipei to Munich with EVA Air.

After arriving from Hong Kong with some delay, we went through the security check again and we found ourselves in the departure lobby. Our gate was assigned at C1.

The waiting area of gate C1 are decorated with a forest theme.

Downstairs there were already a lot of passengers waiting for boarding.

At 22:55pm, boarding was announced. I was again in number 4 of the boarding sequence.

My seat 36A, this was the last row of the first economy class section. One row behind my outbound flight from Munich to Taipei. I selected this side on the plane to avoid the direct sunlight during sunrise when we approached Europe.

Pillow, blanket and earphone were placed in advanced on the seat. No hand sanitising wipe.

At 23:16pm, it was announced that our flight time would be 14 hours and 5 minutes. We were ready to depart in a few minutes. About 5 minutes later safety demonstration video was played and then pushback was commenced afterwards. I was lucky to have the middle seat unoccupied.

While we were taxing to the runway, cabin light was dimmed. Eventually we took off from runway 05R at 23:39pm. We made a U-turn and headed towards south west.

Soon IFE became available. The background was showing the scenery of the destination.

I quickly went through the catering menu and here was the dinner with two choices. Beef or chicken.

And the breakfast, also came with two choices. Porridge or scrambled egg.

The beverage menu.

10 minutes after takeoff, the cabin light was turned on. again. Then I watched the first movie of the flight, No Hard Feelings.

photo dsc03043

Soon the service was started and I got myself an apple juice, but no snacks were provide this time.

photo dsc03044

One hour into the flight, I received my meal. I opted for the beef option and white wine for the drink.

A cup of tea after the meal.

After the meal, I visited the lavatory in the middle of the plane. Apart from the soap and cream, teeth brushes were available.

photo dsc03048

When I returned to my seat, the cabin light was dimmed, by that time, we were reaching Vietnam from South China Sea. Not long after that I fell asleep after finishing the movie.

photo dsc03049

I successfully slept for one and a half hour and when I woke up we were flying over Bangladesh.

photo dsc03050

Then I started watching the second movie, The Wandering Earth II.

Somewhere in India.

In the middle of the movie, I fell asleep for another 50 minutes. At 5:44 am, I received some snacks from the crew, nuts and rice crackers.

At 6:20am, I visited the toilet at the back.

photo dsc03055

Then I went to the snack bar at the back of the plane, I grabbed myself a ham and cheese croissant and an orange juice.

photo dsc03056

30 minutes later, I fell asleep again and slept for 2 hours. I checked the flightmap again, and we were flying over Iran, south of the Caspian Sea.

At 9:35am, I finished the second movie and I managed to sleep for a further hour, when I woke up again, we were already reaching Türkiye.

photo dsc03058

Then, I started watching the third movie of the flight, Nemesis

photo dsc03060

The first ray of sunrise was soon being spotted.

photo dsc03061

At 11:16am, cabin light was turned on again. There was a small message popping up on the screen informing us the meal service would begin soon.

photo dsc03063

Then I decided to visit the lavatory again, because I knew it would be so crowded after the breakfast.

photo dsc03062

At 11:40am, breakfast cart arrived, the crew was giving out the menu card and passing on one by one, which is the same way with All Nippon Airways.

photo dsc03064

I opted for the western style with Scrambled egg, sausage an potatoes. There was also a croissant.

photo dsc03065

I had a tea for the drink.

photo dsc03066

After the meal, I watched the Taiwanese drama, Goodbye Again.

Very nice report as always! Seems odd not to have a snack with the pre-dinner drink service considering how long the flight is--I assume it's due to the late hour. I'm also a bit surprised to see wine served in a paper cup...as a Frenchman, it stings to see that, haha. At least put it in plastic, yikes! Other than that the meal looks really tasty and well-presented for Economy.

It's nice that they have sandwiches on offer in the galley in the middle of the flight on top of the mid-flight snack service. By the way, I think you meant "Ham sandwich" rather than "jam sandwhich"...though both sound good, haha. The Western breakfast also looks quite tasty.

    Thanks for sharing!

Hi KévinDC, Thanks for your comment. You really get to the point, because I also felt a bit odd to serve wine in a paper cup ?
and btw, thanks for pointing out the typo error... I will correct it.
