Hi! Today I will tell you about my trip to Da Nang and Hue - 2 well-known cities in the Central of Vietnam.
I was in Tan Son Nhat Airport at 7 AM yesterday.
Some first photos were taken outside the airport in the morning.

Tan Son Nhat Airport was so empty

Tan Son Nhat Airport has been changing a lot from the Hall to all of the things in the airport

This elevator is used for pregnant women, children, disabled and old guests
photo DSCN5715
We checked-in at the counter for all of the flight to Hai Phong, Ha Noi and Da Nang
photo DSCN5717
All of the counters in my side were emptier than the counters in the opposite

Here is my passport and boarding pass
photo DSCN5769
After checking-in and passing the custom counter, we went to the waiting area.
From the waiting area, I took some photos of some aircrafts that parked in the ramp:
A Vietnam Airlines's Airbus A321 was preparing for flight VN 244 to Hanoi
photo DSCN5757
An UTAir's Boeing 757 was parking without preparation for any flight. I thought it would have been here for days. And a Boeing 747F of Korean Air Cargo was being prepared as well
photo DSCN5761photo DSCN5787
At 8 AM, we were called to boarding.
I had to wait for my parents who were in the…restrooms so we were the last passenger boarding
photo DSCN5802
We didn't boarding by bridge, we did it by bus
The way to the bus

I also took some photos of more aircrafts:
This Vietnam Airlines's Boeing 777 was being prepared for a flight to Hanoi at 9 PM

A couple of Vietnam Airlines's Airbus A321
photo DSCN5809
We went to the aircraft with this bus. The bus is used for Business Class/Sky priority passengers.

Another Vietnam Airlines's Airbus A321 was parking far away from the terminal
photo DSCN5822
This is the other side of the aircraft just mentioned above

And there it was!! Our plane! A new Airbus A321 with regis. No: VN-A397

When our plane was taxiing, I saw a Vietnam Airlines's Airbus A321 being pushbacked

Then we stopped to wait for that Vietjet Air landing
photo DSCN5915
We took off in runway 07L

The window was so dusty, so I had to clean it
photo DSCN5949
When the aircraft was at 8000 feet, a flight attendant gave me a bottle of water
photo DSCN5954
I was so disappointed about the Vietnam Airlines's service: 2 years ago, in all of the flights to DAD, we were given a bottle of water and something to eat. But now, they just gave us a bottle of water.
Some photos in the plane

When we were at 9000 feet, the aircraft made a left turn and I saw an oil refinery but I didn't know what refinery it is.

When we approached Da Nang City, it was raining.

Some photos when we approached Da Nang and when we landed at Da Nang International Airport

We landed in runway 35R. Then we taxied to the terminal. Before we parked in the gate, I saw an Vietjet Air's Airbus A320 took off to fly to Hanoi.

Because it was so cold (19 oC), so I just took some photos and then went back to our room. We were going for the dinner with pancake in Ba Duong Restaurant
We travelled by motorbikes (we rented from this morning)

It was raining so I couldn't took lots of photos

Thank you for sharing this First report! I'm half Viet so it's always good to see reports in Vietnam! So it looks like not just western airlines are cutting back on service and amenities. Nevertheless the cabin seems quite nice and comfortable. If I were you I would blur out your family name, ticket number and other personal information as this is a public website and anyone can see that information and potentially go into your reservation and see information, could lead to identity theft. You never know...better safe than sorry! Otherwise, good job on your first report with lots of good pics and detail. Too bad you have bad weather during your stay in Danang. Looking forward to more report.

    Welcome to Flight-Report!

The flight is just one hour so no meal service for economy class. But in business class, passengers will be served light meal (usually canapes). :D But I agree that many airlines cut meal services for short-haul flights. I remember 20 years ago when I flew from Nha Trang (NHA) to Hanoi (HAN) on ATR-72, full meal was served (cold cut, salad, dessert, coffee and tea).

Welcome and thank you for sharing this nice first report.

As KevinDC has suggested, it would be wise to avoid posting too much confidential information, especially your passport and frequent flyer number.

Vietnam is a fascinating country that I hope to visit in the future.

Thank you for your kind offer. I hope to see more of your reports in the future. Always keep your personal information safe and discreet. A very long time ago I was a victim of stolen information and someone had a party with my credit card.
