Jakarta Halim Perdanakusuma Aiport
So after we arrived at the Jakarta Halim Airport (HLP) we went to a restaurant first to have lunch and after that we went inside the terminal.
Get into the terminal building, we first we checked our baggage and have to pay around Rp. 15.000 equal to € 0.89 or US$ 1.09 for 3 kg excess baggage due (IW) Wings Air baggage allocation is only 10 kg each pax.
Gates 4 to 7 currently used by Citilink and gate 8 used by Batik and Wings. At first we didn't realise that we're assigned to be departed from gate number 8 because its handwritten on the boarding pass, but since the Batik on gate 8 so pretty sure Wings will be use the same gate.
Should realise that was my plane! Dang!
Waiting area for boarding gates number 8. There's plenty of shops and facilities such as convenience store, Coffee Bean store, Praying Room (as in this one is mandatory and must have facility after toilets), power outlets, children playground, etc.
WoW! So this is super rare case for this flight to be delayed. The aircraft will have route BDO (Bandung) - HLP (Jakarta) - TSY (Tasikmalaya) - HLP (Jakarta) - BDO (Bandung) - TKG (Bandar Lampung) I'm not sure where the problem started but once its ruined all routing. Its just unlucky day, but yeah its way faster way to reach Bandung.
Meet with the 50th Airbus on Citilink's armada…
Batik boarding by bus
QG's
My plane is back, I'm pretty happy nowadays Lion Group in Indonesia (Lion Air, Wings Air, and Batik Air) is moving forward on treat passengers on delayed flight. Regarding the regulations of Ministry of Transportation for delayed compensation, such as flight around 90 minutes airlines need to provide or equal of mineral water and snacks. Around 120 minutes they need to provide or equal of heavy meals. Back then the delay compensation was clearly forgotten and never supervised by Ministry of Transportation.
Boarding pass for this flight
The Flight
Boarding process commenced after more than 90 minutes delay…
My plane is over there, you can actually walk but its pretty hot and just not really comfortable for walk and they provide apron bus so why not ride the bus then?
Batik Livery Boeing over Airbus. Personally I like the livery on Boeing better and I don't know why they have to differentiate the livery for Boeing and Airbus.
They deployed two bus for boarding process, while for Boeing 737-800 or Airbus 320 they'll deploy all of five bus.
ATR 72-600 PK-WHH (MSN:1256) Delivered to Wings Air on June 2015 so she's 2.8 years old as planespotters.net said.
Outside view, its been a long time for me to finally onboard propeller aircraft again. More than 15 years ago I guess?
Boarding process still on going.
Leg room space not so bad I guess.
Taxi and Take off processed took not so long but not so fast also because we need to wait the air traffic.
Cabin features
Seat pocket
I don't know why there's too much logo of Lion's, I mean the Wing icon is used for Wings Air logo, but nowadays ATR 72 delivered to Wings Air use Lion's logo.
Broken tray table and delay compensation. This delay compensation is the same snack that Batik Air will provide on their flights.
The clouds scared me due this ATR 72 will shaking pretty hard, glad this flight time was only around 10 minutes maximum during cruising altitude. 10 mins Taking-offs, 5 mins cruising, and 10 mins descent and landing process
Cabin situation before landing.
Peeking outside during approach to BDO, pretty sure thats Ciumbuleuit area where my campus located.
Land and backtrack to the apron of Bandung Husein Sastranegara Airport and we can spot CN 235 being tested before delivered to Indonesian Navy I guess.
Outside view
Disembark from the only door at the back of the airplane.
See ya Wings Air! Definitely will use their service as an option for commuting between Bandung and Jakarta.
As in no apron bus for regular passengers so we need to walk, Angkasa Pura 2 as the operator only provided shuttle van for senior passengers, parents with childs, people with disabilities, and other in needed the service.
Apron view that noon.
Bandung Husein Sastranegara Airport

Arrival area
Pretty crowded here…

Thanks for stop by on my flight report here and hope you enjoy reading my FR. Comments and suggestions are welcome. Sorry for grammatical error here and there. See you on other journey that I'll do next month!
I remembered that Wings Air's checked luggage allowance and fee for excess weight were both exceedingly low.
On the other hand, I did not know that praying facilities airside are mandatory.
I too like the Batik Air 737 livery better.
This was a really short hop. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for stopping by. Yes I was so surprised because three of our suitcases was overweight by 1kg each so 3kg in total and just need to pay 15.000 Indonesian Rupiah or equal to 1US$! Also thats explain me a lot about people flew with Lions & Wings to brought so many things and just have to pay small amount of fee.
about the praying room is something people needs due to Indonesian majority is a moslem, if there's no praying room I'm pretty sure they'll sue or make a petition and gone viral when public facility didn't provide that.
Yes! Boeing 737 Batik livery is waaaaayyyy betteeerrr...

Thank you for the report! At last there's a report on the route I once lusted on (when I was still in Jakarta :p)
Its just unlucky day, but yeah its way faster way to reach Bandung.
- Not when you have delays and formalities (except if you only have no checked luggage and had already done web check-in). Plus, you can work for longer while on a train, if that's what matters more.
Boarding pass for this flight
- I remember JT/ID/IW all share a common boarding pass stock paper? A bit surprising to see IW's own boarding pass, but did IW have their own separate counter (i.e. not shared with ID)?
Peeking outside during approach to BDO, pretty sure thats Ciumbuleuit area where my campus located.
- What university is it? Too bad I couldn't see my campus while approaching SIN as there's an air force base nearby.
Arrival area
- If you see carefully, the last s in the 18th Asian Games is missing :p
On overall, it seems to be an interesting joy ride with IW's ATR72 - thank you for sharing!
Hey thanks for stopping by.
#1 - Oh yeaaah for sure if we have another meeting everything will be screwed up. But we just got back from vacation so nothing important to be attend after all. Jakarta to Bandung thru highway is something we can't predict anymore. On Chinese New Year weekend the traffic was crazy!
#2 - Yes, usually IW will have anothe Lion Group logo on their BP (together with JT, ID, and IW logo printed), but not really sure why on my BP they didn't have others. Nope, at HLP airport there's only ID's check-in counter and all displaying TV overhead the counter didn't even put IW's number flight for TSY or BDO destination so every pax mostly asked staff at the airport to know which exactly they need to go.
#3 - Its called Parahyangan Catholic University (PCU) or Universitas Katolik Parahyangan (Unpar).
#4 - Yes I realise that. But, personally I'm happy that the Asian Games 2018 advertisement, installation, etc. in Bandung mostly didn't put the 'Jakarta Palembang' as usually they'll put that.
