Welcome to this long, 18 flight series of US domestic mileage runs that I took in October 2020. After COVID-19, the demand for premium travel within the USA has decreased for short distances so on some occasions Domestic First tickets in the USA could be really cheap if you book in advance. American Airlines had a deal of DCA-RDU r/t for $227 which would have given me 240 British Airways Executive Club Tier Points so I decided to take 3 of these runs to achieve Gold status in British Airways Executive Club.
Although I am a Qatar Airways Privilege Club Platinum member at the moment, unless things change, I am pretty sure that I would lose it in mid-2022 so I have started working on a back-up plan as oneworld Emerald status is a really valuable status for a frequent traveler.
The twelfth report of this series would be the last report of the second day. This flight would be a 119-mile flight from Philadelphia to Washington Reagan onboard the American Eagle Embraer E-175 operated by Republic Airlines.
After arriving from my previous flight at Terminal B, it was time to head towards Terminal A-East for my flight to Washington DCA
GATE AREA & BOARDING
As I arrived to the gate, boarding had started with the respect of group numbers. I have boarded the aircraft with Group 1.
Here is a photo of N108HQ, the Embraer jet that is going to operate this flight.

After being welcomed by the crew and being handed a hand sanitizer wipe, I've headed to my seat 4F.
The legroom was generous onboard this aircraft.
The hand sanitizing wipe that was provided upon boarding.
The seat pocket had the usual content.
And our neighbor was another American Eagle Embraer E-175.
And after that aircraft pushed back, it was our time to push back.
And after a short taxi, we took off.
The overhead panel after departure. By the way, this aircraft had no power outlets, nor USB ports equipped in either cabin.
The Gogo mobile IFE system was available today.
It wouldn't be that cold when I arrive at Washington DC.

Passing over Baltimore
At that time, I requested a cup of water through the call button which was promptly served.
And Ballston, VA before arrival
Rosslyn, VA
Pentagon
And we've landed far before our scheduled arrival time
After a short taxi, we reached our parking position. The Washington Monument
And we've parked at gate 43C.
WASHINGTON REAGAN AIRPORT - DCA
After saying goodbye to the crew, I left the aircraft and I was in Terminal C where most of the concessions were closed as the last departure have already left that night.
And the second day of the DCA-RDU TP run was over.
The journey would continue in the 3rd part of this series which would be available to read soon. Once again, thanks for stopping by and hope to see you in another report.
