So this is my forth report! I didn't really enjoy this flight actually, when I was booking the flight, it's said to be operated by an A333, then it's changed to be a 74E, and on that day, that's a 772 with the out-dated IFE system and old seats.
Check-in counters at the terminal 1
There's still plenty of time left so I decided to have a pre-flight meal first at terminal 2.
Walking to the gate.
My plane today, a Boeing 777-200. Plane registration HL7500.
Time for planespotting. HX A332.
SA A343 with its gorgeous special livery
CA A738. This is one of the ugliest liveries along with CZ and MU
KA A333
CX's The Bridge lounge
AA 77W to Dallas
Queuing to on-board
Oh my goodness these old seats
Remote control, but it's basically useless with the not working out-dated IFE system.
Stuff in the seat pocket
Taxiing to the runway
Take off
Well finally it worked
Toilet
There were two options, beef with rice and bibimbap. Eventually I had the beef one.
Lucky me I could clearly see the city of Taipei and Taoyuan Airport
Landed
That's a long way to the Airport Express station
That's really cold in Seoul during winter
Decent view from my room
Haha we can clearly see that you're Asian as European custumers would love to fly in such a cabin for a short haul flight :P
The IFE doen't seems that bad at all. Is it AVOD?
Thanks for sharing this Fr with us :)
The cabin does look old school, but the seats actually look really comfortable. I find that older style seats had more padding and are often more comfortable than new style slimmer seats. Catering looks good, as one would expect from OZ. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing!
Nice spotting at HKG despite the very gloomy weather there.
Visually, the cabin looks terrible, but I'm sure the seats were very comfortable.
OZ lives up to its reputation of good service, plus the bonus of good catering and good on-time performance make it a very good carrier despite its antiquated cabins.
