Hello everyone, after some weeks of crazy traveling I can finally make this brief report of a quick hop across the Atlantic from LHR to JFK. Morning started early at the CCR where I was warmly welcomed for a very decent breakfast. Croissants, fresh orange juice and a great double espresso…all I need for a morning wake up!
Flight today was departing T5 to JFK. After some delay due to the late arrival of the aircraft we started boarding by First and Club World. This was my first time on the new First cabin of BA 747's, did twice Miami last year on the old dated First cabin at a full fare so I was very impressed and pleased with the change that is now uniform on the whole fleet were First Class is sold.
After getting used to my seat for the next 6:30 hours the very friendly CSD came to introduce herself and handle me a glass of the very tasty Laurent Perrier-Grand Siecle which is the standard concerning Brut champagne aboard BA F Class. Other option available was a Rose of Maison Taittinger. Refill of course was offered twice, so by take off time I was a bit tipsy already.
I decided to have an express lunch service which consisted on a kind of quiche and a delicious chocolate mousse with mascaporne cream, presentation was very nice and elegant and the Wine List was very appealing. All wines were of very good quality and carefully selected for this premium route.
Digestive was offered, Cognac and a double Espresso again…
About 1:30hr before landing in New York the famous afternoon tea was served. I kept it express also , so my choice was of course the scones and some pastry selection…all was of very good quality and tasted delicious. Paired with more glasses of Laurent Perrier :)
Landing was on time and we quickly taxied to Terminal 7 and deplaned to find Immigration empty at that time…too early for all the European birds coming in!
As I know BA First Class has been widely published here I just posted the most important pictures and information regarding a very famous travel route between Europe and America.
Thanks for sharing. Nice photos! Would have been nice to see some shots of the Concorde Room. BA First is not the best First class out there, but it's stylish
Hi Kevin, Yes I didn't take any pictures of the CCR as it was literally packed and I had a very short connecting time coming from Germany. BA F is reliable, good quality wines offered and the meals are J+ quality, so clearly is not LH,SQ,EY but it is not AA or UA F.
Regards, GC.
I think this is one of the most important routes involving the Atlantic. Was the F cabin full? I bet you enjoyed that espresso.
Laters!
Ive been there it a quite good journey. thanks for the sharing
