Hello everyone! :)
Approximately a month ago I had the opportunity to accompany the beautiful Edelweiss Air Crew on one of their flights to Las Vegas! My friend who works as a cabin crew member for the airline asked me to join her on a layover. Of course I didn't hesitate to say yes:)
Flight time was around 11h40 and we landed about 20 minutes prior schedule.

We had to wait for a few passengers from Hungary. Unfortunately their flight was not on time. Due to the late arrival of the other passengers, we missed our slot and had a delay of about 50 minutes.
A little snack was distributed.

The beautiful IFE which is only about a few months old. During the C-Check, all seats of the aircraft were removed and replaced. The IFE is brandnew and similar to the one of SWISS.

A cold meal was served approximately 2 hours before landing.

The approach was quite windy and the captain told me after landing that we made a visual approach.
Our parking position was just next to the Queen of the skies! A wonderful Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-400 from London.

I'm impressed by the catering offered by WK, it's of better quality and higher quantity than LX's.
The real glass in Y class is also quite premium.
I bet the fact one your friend was working the flight helped getting a nice service, but WK's crew have a good reputation anyway.
The catering and the whole flight was truly very good! As my Edelweiss-friend said; their slogan is LITTLE EXTRA. And you can find exact this little extra through the whole flight. Starting with the crew, hospitality, catering.. etc :)
Grüezi, top-quality pictures! I really like Edelweiss Air, although I've not flown with them SO FAR. Their destinations are really special and likeable. How was immigration? Could you use the fast lane like the crew? An advice from my side: It looks nicer if the covers of the food are removed.
Thank you! You really have to fly with them - they're amazing :) I had to leave the aircraft as a normal passenger. Therefore I had to go the usual way. Nevertheless I was faster than the crew as they had to wait until all pax were off.

WK offers a really nice product, much better than LX with, for instance, a salad and a starter and a real dessert (against a tiny piece of cake). Also the second meal looks pretty nice.
How long was the layover in Vegas?
You're totally right! The service was just amazing. We took off at 2 pm in Zurich and landed at around 3.30 pm in Las Vegas due to the time shift. So we had the evening of the first day, a whole second day and at the third day we took off at 7.45 pm and landed back in Zurich at 15.40 pm at the next day.
Very nice first report! I don't think I've ever seen this route reported before. I am pleasantly surprised to see that the product is such high quality. From the cabin to the meals, everything looks great. Beautiful pictures.
