Lots of food, good old seats in a generous 2-4-2 layout, friendly staff and chatty Iranians make this a very pleasant flight experience. If only there was not a stupid refuelling stop in Slovenia because of the international sanctions. Hopefully these will be gone soon!!! Do not expect alcohol though ;)
This flashback/incomplete report starts with check-in at Heathrow Terminal 3. Next to us were CathayPacific and Emirates, making the three small counters of IR looking a bit like black sheep. Staff was a bit confused with handling non-Iranians, as that is very rare on this route, given the difficulty for Britons to travel to Iran. But our German Passports and visa-on-arrival documents eventually made the boarding passes possible.

Done with check-in! Whoop! And a good old fashioned boarding pass on top.

A300-600 waiting for us :)

Funny thing, IR710 is parked next to AA flight to JFK.

IR is not allowed to refuel in LHR :( hence Ljubljana…

Snack time before the fuel stop in Ljubljana (Slovenia)

Jujeh Chicken with Saffron Rice :)

This is Delster Islamic Beer (0%) - a malty softdrink I find quite tasty and exists in different variations: lemon, pineapple, pear, plum… this was one pineapple I think.

My friend had ordered a vegetarian meal - apparently the pasta was good but her salad still had chicken, ooops. I ate it, lucky me!

Again the same problem. The pics are good and the flight expereience looked nice but a FR needs text and comments!!!!
I've added some pics and comments for you :)
Thanks for sharing. I love the food on Iran Air and the service is great :)
