Hi
That is my trip report from an Air France flight from Lisbon to CDG on June, 20th. The purpose of my trip was only to go to Paris Air Show 2015 and I chose the Air France because operate to CDG instead of TAP which operates Orly.
It was my first flight in an Airbus A318 - F-GUGP
I checked-in at 5.20am and I ran to boarding gate thru the green way - the Lisbon Airport's priority security screening access.
I boarded at 05.40am (10 min later that the scheduled) on the gate 11. Then I took a bus to stand 104
I was seated on 7C. This plane had the new seat configuration of Air France for short haul fligths. This new seats are enough comfortable for the length of the trip. This airplane is very small and just have 1 lavatory for economic class located in the end of the aircraft, very similar with the easyJet aircrafts
The time of a simple snack: Just a Hot Chocolate and a cake
As Aircraft Engineer I was invited to land in the cockpit on runway 26L at 09.18LT (12 min earlier than the scheduled time)
The view of the tarmac with AA, Etihad, Emirates, Kenya, Gulf Air, XL and other aircrafts
The flight deck
Then the famous and always beautiful Air France Concorde
An Air Serbia Airbus
The view of terminal 2F, the European flights terminal for Air France and Sky Team partners
The cabin of this flight
.
In Block at 09.27 on stand F34, with a KLM 737 on the right side
Then I just followed the exit sign
The baggage carousel
The arrival public area
This impressive FID in the entrance of the terminal
My boarding pass
Thank you for watching my trip report ;)
Thanks for this FR on a staff ticket ;-)
The cabin on the 318 was supposed to only be used on Domestic flights, unfortunately you now find it on é hour flights such as LIS
Thanks for sharing this FR with us.
I’ve always wanted to try an A318, but never really travel intra-Europe. The ironing board seats just look painfully thin. It’s no meal, but an adequate offering of coffee and pastry for early morning breakfast. What a treat to land in the cockpit. Great views taxing from the cockpit!
