Dear friends,
Once again back to report on a kind of recent flight I took because of a professional trip to Singapore. I happened to catch a decent fare in Business from Oslo to Singapore and back taking advantage of good timings and to try the Boeing 787 of Qatar and the newest addition, the fabulous Airbus A-350 which I will cover briefly on other report.
Day started at the local OSL lounge which was very basic, few amenities, fake orange juice and bad coffee. As we all know there is a constant discussion about Qatar's outstation lounges (of not being the best quality) compared to the very high standard of the Al Mourjan lounge in Doha.
Boarding was started on time and was welcomed by an asian flight attendant who kindly directed me to my seat 3A.
First impression was good, a very bright cabin with a feeling of discreet luxury and unlike other Middle Eastern carriers there was not a bling bling feeling in it :P
As soon as I seated and got comfy the flight attendant encharged of my aisle offered me a cold or hot towel and my choice of welcome drink. I went for Rose champagne, Taittinger I believe it was.

We took off and flight time was of 5:55mins, quickly the service started. As we know QR's Business Class is dine on demand so I requested my meal by 1pm local European time.
Menu was extensive and Wines are a super plus in QR, they do have a fantastic offer for J class.
I started with a glass of a very nice Chablis
Some minutes after I decided to explore the bathroom, here are some pictures of how big it is and the great design it has
When I came back lunch was serve, it consisted of a chicken breast with an indian mango curry like garnish and some veggies
To honour my dear french readers of FR.com, I had the cheese course at the end unlike the italian way :P
Good selection of cheeses very similar to Emirates Business
By this point I had changed already to an exquisite Saint Julien red wine which was outstanding
Dessert was the weak part of this lunch, the brownie was hard and dry and the ice cream (as many reporters claim) was solid hard that even the cup ended up in pieces and the ice cream scoup flew away all the way to row 5 :P
Qatar clearly needs to sort out the temperature to serve ice cream…
Lunch of course was finished with a double espresso and some more chablis…
After two movies and some episodes of ''The Middle'' we landed in Doha on time and within minutes I was seated in Al Mourjan having more than a couple of glasses of Krug before continuing to Singapore.
