Had a quick quiet rest near the gate after arriving from Hong Kong, there was a long line for the transfer security but lots of staff so it went quickly.
I couldn't find any free wifi at istanbul or perhaps you need a phone number to register which i didn't have. There was some weak wifi near the gate that lets you use your facebook login for a while so i did that.
I then walked to the gates downstairs and at the end of the walkway.
We left late because of heathrow slots
three seats to myself woohoo, had a little sleep along them

I was wanting to get a drink as we had been delayed nearly an hour so I waited for the cabin crew woman to finish the food of the back section so i could see about getting a drink (the middle section trolley wasn't anywhere near me), as she got to me near the galley, she said What do you want!!!

Terminal 2 i thought was extremely soulless, black black black, blinding lights, specifically the lift to the tube, they've put huge spot lights shining out right underneath the buttons that you press, i had an imprint in my eyes and i was like 50 feet away, i avoided waiting at the queue for it and took the escalator.
Anyway walking off the plane you had to go up and down escalators making your longggggg way to the immigration at the terminal. The immigration officer was a bit rude to the taiwanese woman who had an EEA Visa, from the minute she walked up he said in a teacher telling some kid off tone MARYYYYY!!!! what qualifies you for this visa?
Errrrghhh not even a hello…not a nice welcome…I was through in minutes anyway because all the passengers got shepharded into the electronic E Gates which had a huge line so i decided to go for normal staffed immigration desk which was quicker.
The only way that i love Heathrow is by plane spotting and not travelling through it.
