After a short night at the Renaissance Brussels, I take a cab to the airport which will cost me a whooping EUR 40.- fee for a little less than a 15' drive.

Christmas soon:

So old school:

I expedite check in and security in no time, another departure screen:

Almost empty terminal:

To my Jack's Flight Report friends:

Mandatory Duty Free crossing:

KLM business class passengers can go to the Diamond Lounge which does not look appealing from the outside:

And not much better from inside, but at least the welcome was warm enough and there is plenty of food options:

Early morning continental breakfast:

Shortly before boarding I head to the boarding gate, the terminal is almost empty:

My plane night stopped in BRU:

The good joke of the day: the crew is not here. They arrived at 07:30 for a 07:45 departure. We board at 07:40 and here's the cabin, still an E190 cabin as per my previous report:

The crew tells us they have been late due to a taxi problem. We leave the gate at 08:00, here a SN ARJ and 330:

Line up and take off:

Brussels gently wakes up at 08:00:

The catering is nothing to write a home about, but its fresh and does exists, that's already a good thing:

Sunrise on the other side:

Heavy wind:

The cherry on the cake was that we landed at the farthest most runway of the airport.

Leading to a 15' taxi time for a final block at 09:10. It does not seem to be a big delay but lots of passengers (including me and my suitcase!) had short connections. My connection is now only 55' and I need to connect to a non-Schengen flight.

Some pictures from the Fokker / Embraer Farm:

Speedy goodbye to the crew, I need to run ^^

If you look for a cheap and good quality accommodation in Brussels, the Renaissance is really great:

Conclusion

A very short flight, appropriate catering, crew and flight overall good. But the delay on arrival, given the short duration of the flight puts the on time performance rating very low.
