I spent a night in Anchorage, after all hassle I had on my way to Alaska I wanted to have some buffer in case something goes wrong. I had a 28H layover that I spent at the Courtyard Marriott Anchorage Airport, very nice and clean. Some pictures at the end of this FR.

Murphy'law at is best: I did not plan too much connection time on my way up, all flights delayed and messed up. I did plan all flights with long layover: all flights early.

Outside of ANC Airport:

Check in aera and inside the terminal:

I breezed through TSA, and this is the airside part of the terminal:

My flight is scheduled on time:

Board Room - Alaska:

Which is upstairs:

Very average welcome. The lounge is quite crowded and the food is almost non existant:

That's it. And it's not better with drinks:

Hard drinks are free of charge but premium hards are against a fee. I'll take a "regular" rhum and coke:

That's my selection that was absolutely not good:

The 734 that flies the last leg of the day to FAI. Already missing it:

A few minutes before scheduled boarding time I leave the lounge:

Affichage pour Seattle, c'est bien là :)

Boarding is called on time.

This is the F cabin, water bottles are on the seats together with a blanket but no pillows. I never understood AS' policy not to have pillows.

Safety card:

Pitch, Sky Interior windows and useless IFE Box as there ain't any:

After take off tablets are handed out, free of charge for First Class pax:

I'll use my own head set as AS has only ear plugs type which I hate. It's great to offer free tablets but mine was only half loaded and it died middle of the flight and there were no others available No comment.

The aperitive was being served:

And soon after the main meal:

Of course, I know, this is a red eye flight, but with DL, at least you got a snack basket with a good variety of snacks to choose from. With AS there are only pretzels and those warm nuts (at least they were warm) in this plastic bowl. For a three hours flights it very, very poor.

We landed earlier than scheduled in Seattle at the C concourse:

I head to the train for the D concourse were my next flight is due to leave.

Mini hotel bonus with the Anchorage Airport Courtyard by Marriott were I got a really nice room for USD 87.-

The seat is comfy, the crew did their job. But only cashew nuts for catering is miserable. The tablet that only worked half of the flight is a no go.

Greetings Esteban and thanks for sharing this report.

The aperitive was being served...And soon after the main meal...
-This made me laugh out loud, thank you for that. The service standards of our US carriers is quite start in comparison with some other regions.

    Thanks again and happy flying.
