The conditions of operation of IY that you describe in your introduction make this report even more unique.
I would not criticize the quality of the pictures, obviously taken in discreet mode.
Describing that Il-76 as damaged is a real understatement !
Thanks for sharing !
the quality of pictures maybe not good because they were taken by mobile camera and as you mentioned in discreet mode but i think still acceptable . only 3 photos taken by Canon
I didn't understand what you mean ? what description you think should be used ?
Thanks for your comment !
You described very clearly the difficulty of operation of Yemenia.
The Il-76 is completely destroyed (just a matter of vocabulary).
Thank you again for taking pictures in these conditions, and for posting such an unusual report !
You are most welcome :)
Everything seemed pretty normal until the mandatory stop in Bisha. Then one is reminded of the current situation in Yemen.
Impressing that Yemenia still manages to operate under these conditions and that the destination has not fallen in the hazardous operations category, where only specialised companies accept to operate !
Overall a nice product on that A320 (much better than what was presented in the French report) : seats are reasonably comfy, pitch is decent, no service issue, catering that seems decent.
Of course, if the meal made you sick, you should sanction it, but I think one can assume it was a one-off issue.
I doubt that IL-76 is even usable for parts XD
Hopefully, other planes seem to have avoided it's fate !
Once again thanks for the report ! I hope the situation in Yemen will better soon ! Moreover, you could then post us more Yemenia FRs :)
See you soon on FR !
Thanks , am glad to hear that ! actually it was risky specially after landing in Sanaa if any of the securities or soldiers noticed me sure i would be in real trouble

Yeah i thought they will suspend their operation until the war finish but fortunately they are not ! however the price is double now .

Indeed ! every thing was okay no issues , maybe I'm the only one who had been effected by that meal !

Lol yeah i got same doubts . there were some others had the same fate :( .. The presidential aircraft B747-SP Reg : 7O-YMN had been totally destroyed by an air strike In Aden International airport in the south of Yemen
Once again thanks for the report ! I hope the situation in Yemen will better soon ! Moreover, you could then post us more Yemenia FRs :)
See you soon on FR !
thank you very much for your comment !
What was in your breakfast? I can see something brown that doesn't look very appetizing.
Yeah, that IL 76 looks a little... weathered. lol
Thanks for sharing this experience. I'll be waiting for more!
Yeah exactly !
If I saw armed soldiers gettinng on my plane and asking to see our passports I would piss my pants.
actually no one of them were armed on-board in they are not soldiers , they presented themselves as the Saudi authorities and they were wearing the official Saudi dressing
What was in your breakfast? I can see something brown that doesn't look very appetizing.
it was omelet eggs , hotdogs and mushroom the brown

You need some real guts to make an FR of a flight like this one, a very interesting and unique FR.
I'm sorry to hear that you got stomach ache after the breakfast.
Could that be the IL-76 that was destroyed by an air-strike a year ago?
Have a good one, see you!

I think so , because this one also destroyed by an air-strike :(

Thanks for your nice comment !
This is what's great about Flight-Report.com, you get to see what it's like to fly on airlines and go to destinations, you may never have to opportunity to experience.
That being said, the passenger experience onboard this IY A320 does not seem particularly appealing. The cabin looks old and run down, though the seats look plush and comfortable, as these older style seats often are. It's not luxurious, but then again, with the situation in Yemen, luxury isn't really a priority. So with everything that's happened the past year, IY gets people from point A to point B safely and that's definitely commendable.
I imagine that the security must be very strict on these flights and it is incredible that you were able to do a Flight Report at all! You were rightly very discrete about it--very smart.
It's a shame the meal was not good, as it looks like the portions were generous and it looks tasty, but as always, looks can be deceiving.
Thanks again for this inside look into a mysterious world!

yeah that is why i was insisting to share it.

well said . no matter if there is no luxury as long we reach our destination safely

further more i was wishful to board the plane before the others because if the passengers saw me it will be another issue like these situations every one seem to be cautious.

sure ! appearance does not reflect the reality sometimes .

Good that IY was able to resume some of its operations in spite of the ware still going on there.
Why does the flight have to stop in KSA? Yemen is a sovereign country, there shouldn't be a need to stop in an intermediate country.
The catering does look heavily processed, and it's also served at a weird hour in the middle of the night...

ofcourse it is only the way to travel to Yemen by air

True ! but that will not be for long time it is only temporarily because the government of Yemen currently is in Saudi Arabia and manages every thing from there . they have given the allies a green light to do whatever they see suitable which result the mandatory landing in Bisha

It was already morning around six o'clock
Thanks for your comment :)
I dont' know the food tasted ( you say horrible) but at least it's a full breakfast and not so many airline serve this kind of tray anymore.
The cabin looks a bit plain to me but Yemenia is not an a comeption for the best cabin award I guess !
Yeah and that is why i began my report with introduction for the airline .

Yemenia is categorized by skytrax as 2 stars airline so ofcourse it will not be a competitor!
Every thing including seats are meeting with that level and maybe even more !
Thanks for your comment :)
Maybe i'm the only one who was effected and the others were satisfied one-off issue I just wanted here to show the real flight rating as i experienced .
Thanks :)
I didn't hear much of Yemen Air, but thanks to this FR, I have a fair idea. Pretty interesting FR!
Food looks terrible! But the stay in Bisha is kinda puzzling..?
Looking forward to more from you!
