A day out to Cologne airport for me today. A birthday present from a friend of mine. I had no idea it was going to happen until I woke up on my birthday to find a message saying it was booked. My friend was due to join me, but personal issues resulted in her pulling out of this, unfortunately.
My parents later booked a weekend holiday to Belfast, flying with Ryanair. As it would turn out, I was to do this day out in Cologne and then the next day go for a family weekend in Belfast. Meaning I have 3 Ryanair flights happening in 48 hours. I will post reviews of ALL of them. If you aren't a Ryanair fan, or if you find a huge amount of Ryanair reviews on this page- I apologise in advance…
I started the day making the 90 minute drive to London Stansted. I had already checked in online and simply had to go through security.
After being dropped off at STN, I went to the airside area. I got through security quicker than on my last two trips out of STN. Although I was directed to a lane that was only just opened.
I didn't have long a wait when I found out where the plane was waiting. I went straight to the gate. When i got there I took a picture of some Ryanair 737's parked up ready for their next missions.

I sat down by the gate. And watched as everyone lined up and got onto the aircraft. Some stood for nearly 20 minutes in the que. I just "sat and chilled" and joined after the que dwindled down to roughly the last 20 or so PAX.
Getting outside I found the aircraft to have a long que of people waiting to board the stairs. I took the opportunity to get some pictures taken whilst I stood waiting like a melon.
I got on the Boeing 737-8AS(WL) which for this flight would be operated by EI-EGB.
I got some pictures as we taxied around London Stansted. Saw a lot of cargo jets parked up as well as a Germania A321 & some easyJet A320 amongst the infestation of Ryanair Boeing 737s.
We departed on time and quickly ascended to our cruising altitude of 26,000ft. The flight was going to be around 55 minutes.
I had breakfast on the plane, I spent 4.50Eur on a cereal bar and a Hot Chocolate.
We began our decent into Cologne/Bonn and we touched down with quite the thump. Typical of a Ryanair landing. We were 15 minutes early.
After arriving at CGN, I made the Bee-Line for the Viewing Deck (via the grocery shop for snacks). Getting quite a mix of aircraft:
