Hello everyone, this is my first trip report on fr so i'm really excited about it !!!
So, due to the final project on my collage i decided to have some short vacation to hongkong for 4 days and continue it to explore china in 1 week
i choose garuda indonesia because there's only 1 direct flight to hongkong from jakarta which is cathay pacific and garuda indonesia, due to the lower price and service i prefer garuda indonesia instead cathay pacific. This flight will be about 4 h 45 m, and fortunately i got seat number 34A which is the windows seat :)
So, here we go
I arrive at the Soekarno Hatta Int'l Airport at 8:00 AM then continuing check-in, check in was smooth because i already do the web-check then i just take some pictures on the airport because not many things to see here.
Well then i proceed to boarding area and surprisingly the flight was on-time and boarding at 10:10 AM, this flight is quite light, maybe only 70% occupied. Then i was boarding at the airplane and welcome by the warm and smile by the FA (sorry for no pic), then i sit next to the Chinese women and here some look :
We are next to the GA B777 to jeddah probably, then the FA giving the welcome drink and this time is orange juice, well nice touch !
Well i don't really know how much the seat pitch is, but i think it's more than just enough for me. There are pillow, blanket, and headset on the seat
And the pocket contents, pretty full hah ?
Then, take off at 10:25 AM, i check the IFE system right away after take-off and here is the look :

Well the IFE not as extensive as EK or SQ, and also not really responsive :( but still okay for 5 hour flight :). Hopefully they update the movie selection.
30 minutes after take-off the FA give the mixed nuts, which is i think one of the best peanuts i ever have (seriously) ! and they also offer some drinks, there are coke, juice, wine, and water. While i choose apple juice.
2 hours after take-off they giving the menu card, and the menu option is chicken and fish and i go with the chicken because i don't eat fish.
Well this is my review for the meal :
1. The main : the beans was really delicious, but i think the chicken need some salt because it's a little bit plain for me
2. The bun : so-so, they serve it with salt butter
3. The dessert : the cake was really smooth, and delicate love it !
4. The salad : Hmm pretty generous
5. The menus : i think they should improve the menu card, because it's too simple even for economy class
Overall i think GA really give the 5 star experience here, well done !
Too bad, i forgot to take the lavatory photo :(. 30 minutes before take-off the FA give the immigration card and a bottle of water, they also offer us some drink and i choose apple juice again, they also offer some candies
Landed on HKG at 15:50, which is 20 minutes before the schedule
