All I have ever heard about QR is great stuff from family and friends.
At check in, a guy asked his superior if he could upgrade me ? The superior looked at me and said Jee Jee,Sir ki upgrade karo (Yes Yes,Upgrade Sir ! ) .
The aircraft arrived from Doha at 0345am and started boarding again at 0415am to go back ! As I walked through the airbridge I saw a beautiful Senior Stewardess and Smart steward welcoming passengers. The Senior crew member took my boarding pass and said " Good Morning Mr SkyLife24" ,Let me take you to your seat".
As soon as I turned left into Business a Stewardess came to take my jacket and another rushed over to welcome me !
The crew in Business Class were from Philippines,Thailand and Egypt and all gave extremely superior level service and had great manners,attitude and personality. Got talking to the boarding Steward who was from India and had pics with the crew. Other crew on the flight were Hungarian,Indian and Chinese. Breakfast order was taken before take off and drinks offered. The orange juice being the sweetest I have tasted in my life. Even on this 3 hour flight to Doha, there was IFE with noise cancelling headsets but the onward connection channel was down. I watched Jabe we met and listened to Kola Lak Vellari from the Bollywood movie "Welcome".
I made my 6 foot seat lie flat and went to sleep and I switched on the massage function and it really refreshed me.
There were enough magazines on the racks to start a newsagency !!!
The cabin crew get full marks for their superb performance. I disembarked at Doha via separate stairs(no airbridges yet) and got a separate bus to the terminal and various announcements in 4 languages were made onboard.

It was very nice of the ground staff to upgrade you. I didn't think any of the ME3 allowed staff in F or J--maybe that is a more recent policy that was not in effect at the time. Did the seat go fully flat? I thought those were angled lie-flat seats at the time.
Hi Kevin. I was indeed amazed at the upgrade ! Indeed the Business Class seat was a flat bed with inner heating and a massage function.
