those of you that have read my report from London to New York VS3 found here will know that due to a long line at the USA border I had only just made it to this flight with 10 minutes to go until boarding commenced without the use of the air train as it was down for maintenance, due to this there are no photos of terminal 2 at New Yorks JFK airport. terminal 2 seems to be the poor relation to it neighbour terminal 4 T4 has a selection of shops and restaurants and is a place you could spend some time in waiting for a flight, terminal 2 on the other hand has a few news stands and some small shops but is a small terminal like a regional airport such as SOU or BOH in the UK with not much to do and not somewhere that you would want to be for any length of time.
once i had passed through the TSA checkpoint and made it to the gate i had just enough time to get a bottle of coke before boarding started. there were several families on this flight that had made the same connection from the VS3 and all of them were saying that that was a very tight connection and most were saying that they would never use this connection again and instead would connect in ATL or fly direct in to MCO as the stress of having this tight connection did not warrant the saving made on the price of the flights.
on boarding the aircraft there were a lot of families trading seats so as family members could sit together, it seemed that DL had split 3 families and mixed these through random seats in each others groups, this was quickly sorted without the help of the flight attendants and soon everybody was on board.
The aircraft (N347NB) seemed new but on reaserching this it was a recent refurbishment which looked good.

leg room was good on this first row of standard economy.
we had a partial view of the iconic NY skyline over the airfield.

once we were airborne there was a few moments of light turbulence as we climbed out of the cloud then the cabin crew started the in flight service with a glass of coke and a packet of pretzels good for a short two hour flight,
as in flight entertainment on Delta domestic is a paid system i just spent the flight playing games on my iPhone and watching the flights progress on the sky map which gave good information.

the flight went smoothly and quickly and soon we were landing in to Orlando, it took a few minutes to taxi to the gate but we were soon parked and getting off the aircraft to catch the monorail over to the main terminal building.

bags were out in a few minutes and then it was out in to the florida sunshine and off to a hotel on International Drive with Super Shuttle for four days in the sunshine.
Wow that Airbus stands out from the rest, it looks like a Boeing!
You're right about the awful connection at JFK, the fare difference might not be worth the stress.
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for this FR.
If so many pax were connecting to MCO DL or VS could have sent an agent to escort them.
Nice refurbished cabin, although the blue light on the PSU look a bit bright.
