Welcome to my first flight-report. OK. Enough with the intro, let's cut the chase, shall we?

In order to not moping around during Idul Fitri holidays, the whole family decided to run around the Penang Island. At first I didn't really into the idea, admitting that we wast almost hundred-thousand dollars for our last year's cruise trip. This was a last minute decision, because my aunt already booked a ticket to Perth to visit my cousins who studied there.

Anyway, long story short, we booked a flight via Traveloka, fetch the hotel, and we're ready to go. For the flight, the cheapest we got was from Indonesia AirAsia X, for price on 1,5 million rupiahs after adding tax and shit.

Our flight was 11:35 am Jakarta time, but we ended up leaving earlier because we don't want to get trapped by the traffic on our way there, the fact that at that time was the peak point because Idul Fitri is two days away.

Arrived at the 'old' Terminal 3 of Soekarno Hatta International Airport, we found out that the lounges at T3 are closed during the holidays. You see, AirAsia didn't provide lounges for its passengers, but ultimately, in 'old' Terminal 3, you can use the lounges if you have platinum credit cards and priority credit cards from various banks.

After entering the immigration line, which is pretty fast because we're the only ones who pass it when it's cleared up after the chaotic waiting for CGK-KUL flight, we found out that our flight's a bit delayed because the plane hasn't arrived yet. So we ended up boarding at 12.15 in the noon.

The flight with AirAsia was particularly decent. The cabin is a standard AirAsia cabin. Despite not comfortable enough to sleep, at least they fit enough to sit. Even inside the pockets are the LCC standards: in-flight magazines (AirAsia have two), safety cards, menu, and in-flight boutique magazine.

They provide on-board meals, which you can pay in Rupiahs. I ordered Pringles while my sister ordered the chicken and potatoes meal. She can't finish it so she gave it to me.

Our arrival was pretty fast, as traffic in Penang Airport was particularly fair than Jakarta's or Changi's or neighboring KLIA. But there's a catch when we arrive though.

At the immigration inside the Penang Airport, my Mom didn't put her fingers like the rest of us as the officer there didn't require her to, which is odd.

Oh, and one more thing, Uber and MyTeksi/Grab are not allowed inside the airport, so we ended up with a bus that costs us RM3.40 per person, and it took us almost 2 hours just to go to the hotel at the infamous Gurney Drive, which is annoying for me but can't help it.
