After 5 days in Penang, it was time to go home.
But the day before, we're very-very-very concerned about how do we get to the airport. We heard that once an Uber driver dropped its passenger off, some taxi driver scratched the Uber driver's car. And police can't do anything about it.
This kind of situation of just happening in Penang. Remember the huge demonstration in Jakarta back in March, caused by crazy taxi drivers?
It's not our fault for choosing Uber and MyTeksi/Grab instead of regular taxi.
After our meal in Georgetown, we finally find a solution: find a Grab driver and drop us off at Queensbay Mall, then on 2pm, we use taxi to go the airport.
It turned out to be not a wise one.
When we use taxi, filled with me and my grandparents, they charge us RM40, but when we use Uber, filled with my sister and my parents, they charge us RM7.
Ripoff!
Since we already checked in via online few weeks back, all we have to do just waltz away towards immigration, with our printed ticket in hand. But my grandfather was halted, as according to the security guard, his boarding pass needs to be stamped.
Which confuses me because if his was needed to be stamped, then the rest of us needs to, too. But in the end, he got stamped anyways.
Passing the immigration, then screening come and go.
This really amuses me, because Penang Airport is really small for a leisure airport, which is why we can arrive at our gate in just matter of seconds.
But let me tell you this: IF the CGK-PEN was delayed, this impacts PEN-CGK as well.
Last time, we were delayed for 30 minutes, but this time, the flight was delayed for an HOUR. Even for the World's Best Low Cost Carrier can't help themselves but blame CGK's air traffic.
Let me tell you, the line was PACKED when it's time for boarding!
When the boarding starts, there's a lot of passengers from CGK running from the jet bridge like they're chased by a ghost.
Anyway, finally boarded, we're taking off an hour later, as usual.
The service was decent, AirAsia standard, like the one I experienced on 5 July flight. But there's a mix up prior to take-off.

There's an old lady whose feet was recently operated by the hospital there, and she sat with her daughter who is on my side. I was at by the window, the daughter is in the middle, and the old lady is near the alley. Someone (either at Penang Airport check-in counter or online) has double booked, putting in their seats, mine and the ones that across us. It took 5 minutes and 2 flight attendant just to deal with it.
Before we land, we come across a sunset view, which is breathtaking. Lost of people on my side of window taking pictures of it. I do, too.

We land on time, 6.25pm Jakarta time, and I can't miss my chance to take a picture of soon-to-be-opened new CGK T3.
