On a perfectly sunny winter day I enjoyed this short flight from Sofia to Vienna.
Boarding at quite modern Sofia airport started on time and was via bus on a remote position.
By this I could enjoy great views of our nice Airbus 320 while climbing up the rear stairs.
The cabin with modern slimline seats was quite full however luckily the middle seat next to me stayed empty.
Boarding was finished on time and a flight time to Vienna of 1 hour 20 minutes was announced.
Safety demonstration was conducted manually with a nice prerecorded announcement which I always find more professional.
Soon we departed into blue sunny skies and left the valley around Sofia.
Views on this flight to Vienna were great.
Online I had preordered a Do & Co meal for 15 EUR. This was served to me ahead of the main service.
The flight attendant also asked me for my drink choices and brought them individually to me before the main service.
This was great - so I had enough time to enjoy my meal and drinks without any rush.
The meal actually tasted great. Every single part of it was worth the 15 EUR.
Additionally came a small bag containing 3 different warm breads.
Main service consisted of a small sweet or salty snack (like chocolate bar) and free drinks.
Soon we started the descend into sunny Vienna and landed 10 minutes ahead of schedule.

Hi! Thanks for the report! To me it seems like the delicious 15euro meal is equivalent to what is served in Business, and your seats are identical in dimensions, effectively making the business class fare within Europe practically worthless. Do you agree?
Yes the meal definitely had Business Class quality ? Together with the same seat and my lucky middle seat it almost was like Business Class. So actually the only additional benefits of Business Class are guaranteed middle Seat, a secluded more calm cabin and more personal and attentive service. Plus of course ground benefits like lounge Access.
