CLERMONT - LYON: The last one
Introduction
Hello everyone, we meet here for this flight which dates from early 2016 lyon to clermont-ferrand from Metz. This flight is very often carried out in Embraer 145 or ATR 42 and it lasts only 20 minutes, it is therefore mainly operated for the coresepondances.
This flight is very expensive: expensive aircraft, 3 flight crew and airport assistance for often less than 50 passengers.
The trip costs an average of 100 euros round trip for 20 minutes in the air. However, this line is very important for local activity. Yes but here in January 2017 the direction of hop decides to close the line for lack of profitability. The CEO of Flykiss then proposes to resume the line, business to follow …
At Lyon-st-exupéry
Let's start at the beginning, I'm coming aboard the Hop F-HAPL ATR 72-500 all white from metz on time. The connection to Lyon 2 is very simple, just follow the signs and in 5 minutes you are in front of the other plane!

Here are some pictures I took on board the previous flight (night).

The terminal N°2 of the Lyon airport is Hop's connecting platform. At this hour, the terminal is filled by a lot of regional plane, … and passengers.
In the following photo you can see various regional aircraft: ATR, CRK …

And here is my Embraer 145: "F-GUBC",15 years old. Boarding is launched on time and priorities are respected. You can leave your suitcase at the foot of the plane if it is too big

On board
Here is my boarding pass, I am at seat number 17 F, at the bottom of the plane two-seater side with a porthole.

Here is the plan of the cabin of our small plane (from the site of "air france"). 50 seats available but today only 14 will be busy :-)

Well, let's go for the taxi, and now a bit of spooting before taking off (excuse me for the average qualities of some photos due to the darkness).
To begin, an ATR 42-300 of Chalair aviation

There are many regional aircraft, such as these crj

Easyjet and Swiss

And then it's our turn: take off at the airport on time, direction: 170 km away.

Let's discover the plane:
First of all, the space between the seats: very correct for a flight time like this one but a bit just for a longer flight. For information, I measure 1 meter and 60 centimeters

The contents of the wallet are classic: the safety card, in case or as well as the magazine of "air France".

And now it's the time for the snack: classic on "air france": water or orange juice and sweet biscuits.

Here are some views of this short flight with an altitude of 14,000 feet.

Distribution by the single cabin crew of a refreshing towel.

And landing on time at CFE, welcome auvergne!

The disembarkation was rapid because of the limited number of passengers. Did I take a picture of my seat.

On the ground
Brief view of my plane, goodbye!

Good bye, NONOPILOTE
Thanks for this report,
Always nice to get a quick flight and CFE is well connected to LYS.
I'm just sad to see CFE so empty contrary to what it was 15 years ago.
Wish you a nice weekend
Thank you for the comment!
Indeed the airport is empty!
But maybe Flykiss is going to sort out things?
Good weekend to you too, Noé!
