So my 3 day holiday in Colombo is finished and had to go back to work to the Maldives. Colombo is pretty in someways however I can't really say that there are a lot do in the city. It is always a better idea to go out of the city and go to the other places in the country.
On the 20th of June 2017, I took a taxi from the hostel to the airport (Bandaranaike International Airport) for about US$20 (this is a 4 seater car, airconditioned and in a good condition). Travel time is about 30 minutes. There is an option of using the highway for about US$2 add on charge. I did that.
Arrived at around 530AM. The terminal is not that specifically beautiful. Please note that you need to go through a total of 3 security checks at this airport….
I took a couple of shots after immigration which by the way, only took less than 5 minutes, again happy me.
About an hour before boarding, I went inside Gate 9.
There she is, looking fresh and ready. 4R-ALO.
