Welcome to this El Al flight.
I arrived well in advance at Ben Gurion Airport in order to have enough time for the intense security checks which indeed took me all together ca. 2 hours to pass.
Before boarding started I spent ca. 30 minutes in the King David Business Class lounge operated by El Al.
It is a very nice lounge with great apron views and a nice selection of snacks.
However it is cheap that they serve drinks in plastic cups.
Boarding for the flight to Munich was via bus from a remote position.
In the evening sun I boarded our splendid looking Boeing 737-900.
The cabin was in excellent condition and looked very modern including mood lighting.
The Business Class armchairs are very comfortable, offer very nice pitch and for sure let you feel comfortable on a medium range flight to Europe.
Business Class was half full this evening and I had a spare seat next to me for this 3 hrs 40 minutes flight.

Big pillows, blanket and headset were preplaced on each Business Class seat.
On the ground the extremely friendly cabin crew distributed newspapers, magazines, a great looking amenity kit metal box (incl. socks, tooth brush and eye shades) a personal bottle of water and a pre departure welcome drink of juice or water.
We climbed into the sunny sky and left Tel Aviv behind us.

Service started with hot towels and menus.

I selected the chicken from the offer of three different main dishes.
Afterwards portable iPads were distributed to all Business Class passengers.
They fit into a special holder and are a perfect solution:
A wide selection of movies is pre loaded on the iPads. Additionally the DreamStream App is loaded which offers entertainment streaming and also includes AirShow map.
During aperitf service I selected Campari Orange with some nuts.
The whole flight passed by without a single use of any trolley. Everything was served directly on trays from the galley to your seat.
Soon the main meal tray was served which included starter, salad and main dish.
A warm bread basket and more drink offers followed.
After the tray has been cleared a choice of cake or fruits was presented in front of you from a tray.
I picked the cake and also had a cup of tea with it.
The rest of the flight passed by extremely smoothely watching a movie and enjoying some nice scenery along the route like many Greek islands.
Shortly before sunset we safely landed in Munich and taxied to our remote position.
Business Class passengers were shuttled to the arrival area of high security terminal F in a separate bus.
That was great and I have never experienced such a dedicated Business Class bus in Munich on any other flight - great job El Al!

Been looking for El Al's report and from this one, it looks like they have a very decent business class product.
What about the attitude of the crew?
Indeed EL AL provided superb Business Class Service. Also the attitude of the flight attendants was very nice and helpful. Overall I can really recommend their Business Class product
