Hello,
I had no luggage to check in so I directly proceeded to the Fast Track security check.
Nobody was using the Fast Track lane the moment I arrived there so I was through security within 3 minutes.
I spent ca. 30 minutes in the TAP lounge which can alos be used by Lufthansa Business Class passengers.
The lounge is very new and just opened some weeks ago.
In general the feeling is nice and modern and the selection of snacks is ok.
But the lounge is quite small and was very crowded when I was there.
Additionally I think it was a bad idea of TAP to choose white seats and couches as they were already looking worn and dirty some weeks after opening.
Boarding to our Airbus A321 started on time and was very well organized.
There was a properly managed priority boarding lane which Lufthansa always fails to provide at its home airports in Germany.
I never understand why priority boarding at Lufthansa works better at their remote stations compared to their FRA and MUC hubs.
A friendly crew welcomed us on board and I took my window seat 3F.
Luckily nobody else was in my row thorughout the whole flight.
We pushed back some minutes behind scheduled departure time and passed some longhaul traffic including a Delta 757 that was delayed for some hours already.
Shortly afterwards we took off into sunny skies for our 2 hours 25 minutes flight to Munich.
Cabin crew closed the curtains between Business and Economy and started offering aperitifs about 30 minutes after departure.
I opted for a Gin Tonic and some still water accompanied by some nice almonds.
Some moments later the purser came around reading the main meal options to each passenger individually and taking orders.
There was a choice of three mains: chicken, fish and soy lasagna. I opted for the chicken.
I found it strange that the cabin crew decided not to distribute menus to us as their clearly have been some loaded and also I found the one from the previous inbound flight in my seat pocket.
Apart from that the cabin crew serving our total 4 rows of Business Class cabin was providing a superb service.
At none time a trolley was used - everything was served by hand and I was addressed several times by name which was a nice gesture.
Soon the meal tray was delivered which looked very good and also everything tasted very good.
The purser made a perfect timing by serving tray, then a basket of warm breads and immediately asking for drink choices to each passenger separately.
By this every passenger received meal, breads and drinks at the same time. It happens to often on other flights that you almost finished your meal before you are offered drinks to go with it.
So perfect job on this flight.
The purser passed by several times offering refills.
Once my tray has been removed I asked for some tea and Baileys to go with my dessert.
Another 30 minutes later a box of nice chocolates was offered.
Flight passed by very quickly and smoothely and during descent the cabin crew offered hot towels to refresh before landing.
We touched down ahead of schedule and parked at the satellite building next to fellow Lufthansa planes.
