Hello,

Thanks for joining me on this evening flight in SAS Plus from Copenhagen to Munich.

Security at Copenhagen Kastrup Airport was perfectly quick due to the great separate SAS Fast Track area that SAS Plus passengers are entitled to use.
Afterwards I passed time until boarding in the SAS Business Lounge to which SAS Plus passengers get free access.
This lounge is very nice and open in a typical Scandinavian layout & design. This evening it was not too crowded and I easily found a spare table to have some dinner.
The selection of food and drink is quite limited nonetheless I crabbed some nice snack for dinner including a very good tasting tomato cream soup.

Soon I left the lounge in order to walk to my boarding gate B6 which is quite far away from the SAS lounge.
At the gate I found an Airbus 320 waiting to bring us down to Munich this evening.

Boarding started on time with priority boarding which SAS Plus customer are entitled to profit from.
Quickly I was welcomed friendly on the refurbished Airbus featuring the new SAS European cabin.
Actually while pitch and seat comfort is fine I prefer the older blue coloured cabin of SAS as it simply is more cozy and warmer than this extremely grey interior.

Originally I was seated in 4F however soon I was joined by a couple seated in 4D & 4E. All in all SAS Plus was quite crowded this evening and there were several blocks of three seats next to each other fully occupied. I think SAS Plus should definitely block the middle seats as is the common procedure in European Business Class with which SAS Plus tries to compete.
Luckily row 5 stayed completely emtpty and I moved to 5F once boarding was completed where I had the whole row for myself.

Unfortunately the first officer for our flight was late and still missing which resulted in a delay of ca. 25 minutes before we finally pushed back and taxied away while a manual safety demonstartion was performed. Flight time was announced to be 1 hour 25 minutes.

Finally we took of into the dark Northern skies and made our path southbound.

The cabin crew working for SAS Plus this evening was very open minded, funny and friendly. However it was strange and disappointing to see that some regular SAS Plus benefits were missing on this specific flight:
- No hot towels were distributed on this flight
- Wine was served in plastic cups and not in real glasses as is the norm for SAS Plus
- After dinner chocolates were not distributed

So service directly started with trolleys offering food and drinks.
A good tasting salad was served in the typical and innovative SAS cube design. As on my previous flight it was accompanied by another warm addon.
While the salad was different to my trip bound into Copenhagen the day before strange enough the warm quiche was again exactly the same like on my previous flight (spinach tomato quiche).

I had some red wine, water and tea with it.

Cabin crew was very friendly and offered many refills during the flight.
Because of this I was even more surprised why they skipped the rest of typical SAS Plus routines (hot towels, glasses for wine & chocolates).

Once we came closer to Munich the captain had some bad news for us: Due to heavy snow storms at Munich Airport we had to go into waiting patterns for ca. 40 minutes above Bavaria before finally starting descend to Munich Airport. Also during the waiting time cabin crew offered more drinks.

Finally we landed safely with a delay of ca. one hour and docked at a K gate at Terminal 2 satellite building.

Conclusion

This flight was a somehow strange experience on SAS Plus:
I felt comfortable on board with a very friendly cabin crew and in general a good meal service and plenty of drinks.
However I think it was somehow sad that the flight did not stick to the regular SAS Plus benefits normally on offer (missing hot towels etc.)
