Hi,
My trip started with a quick visit to the Lufthansa Business Lounge in the main hall G of Terminal 2. The lounge was not too crowded this morning and I enjoyed a quick breakfast.
When I reached the gate boarding had already started and soon a bus brought us out to the apron where our nice Helvetic Airways Fokker 100 was waiting to operate this morning's Swiss flight to Zurich.
I was welcomed by the friendly cabin crew and took my seat 3A. The cabin of this Fokker 100 was old style but very comfortable. Actually the seats were much more comfortable than on newer planes and the seat pitch was excellent. In the end Business Class had around 6 passengers split over the first 5 rows.
A bottle of water and a refreshing towel was distributed once boarding was completed.
Next to us an Adria Airways CRJ was waiting for its next flight.
We departed on time and started our quick flight down to Zurich which was scheduled to last 35 minutes. During the whole flight views were very limited due to many clouds and fog outside.
Shortly after take off the flight attendant rolled out a trolley and served a small breakfast together with a huge selection of drinks.
The small brioche kind sandwich was only mediocre however the fruits and the bircher muesli tasted great. I enjoyed a cup of tea and some tomato juice with it.
Some minutes later the typical Swiss chocolates were offered.
Quickly the nose of our Fokker 100 pointed downwards and we started descend into Zurich Kloten Airport where we parked at a remote position next to some our Helvetic Airways jets.
A great feature was that Business Class passengers were transfered to the terminal with a private mini bus which only took us some minutes to be in the terminal building.
Thanks for reading,
