Hi,
At transfer I visited the Copa Airlines Club which was very crowded this evening. It is rather big and provides comfortable seating including views to the apron. But still the crowded areas made it feel stressed. Als catering is limited and looks quite cheap with plastic cups and some snacks wrapped in plastic.

As I was not hungry at all I only had some water, banana & a cookie.

Panama Airport is quite big with a lot of shops and different concourses. Here some Copa action on the apron while on the way to my boarding gate:

Once I reached the gate Priority boarding has just started and within a moment I was on board the Embraer 190.
Welcoming was rather cool and I took my seat 1A. This Embraer offers a dedicated Business Class cabin in 1-2 configuration and separated by a full wall & curtain from Economy. This configuration is impossible to find in Europe but of course very comfortable. The pitch at this bulkhead seat was also perfect.

Minutes after boarding water or juice were offered as pre departure drinks - served in plastic cups like on US carriers.

Still on the ground drink orders for after take off were taken and a choice of main meals between salmon & chicken offered. I decided for the chicken.
Boarding continued and we pushed back on time when manual safety demonstration started. Flight time was announced to be 2hours20mins.
After some waiting due to air traffic control we finally powered into the dark skies - cabin lights were COMPLETELY switched off. So the cabin was completely dark which felt somehow stranged.
Once cruising altitude was reached the crew started to serve piping hot towels and the ordered drinks with some nuts as aperitif.
During the whole flight the whole all male cabin crew war rather cold and just doing their job. The crew was never pro active or chatting with passengers.

Only ca. 10 minutes later the warm dinner was served which tasted quite nice and was adequate for a 2+ hours flight.

After my meal has been cleard away I asked for a cup of tea to finish.

The flight continued quiet and we touched down at Santo Domingo perfectly on time - again after an approach with a totally dark cabin where all lights have been turned off.
Priority baggage delivery at baggage claim also worked fine.
Thanks for reading,

Thanks for this FR.
The cold and robotic crews must be a trademark of COPA as I've read many FRs stating the same.
Good seat and meal though.
