After a Ryan air flight from Milan to Tel-aviv on 1st of august, the next flight was Tel-Aviv - Tbilisi on 6th of August. In general I do the exact same route every year. the second leg would be Georgian Airways, but since Myway was cheaper i decided to trust the new company this time.

The flight number is MJ30 which is operated by newly founded airline - MyWay Airlines. They could not prepare the online booking system and the website so we could only buy the seats with partnering web platforms. and surprisingly there was a notice everywhere that this flight is operated by Hahn Air or Mihin Lanka. This was a big confusement for all the passengers on board. they could not really understand which airline are they flying. The PR department of MyWay Airline should work harder for raising the awareness among potential passengers.

there were several EL AL aircraft on the apron. the airport looked not that busy at all. I should say there was a gate prepared for us, not the bus. which is great. this aircraft doesnt have winglets, nor SkyInterior.

Another issue for PR and marketing department. I see they want to promote Hualing group, the mother company of this airline, but it has even confused the passengers to see completely different logo on the back of the seats, I had to explain the couple seating next to me, why was it operated by Hahn Air, and second what was Hualing. Terrible marketing. Terrible PR. There are two many names.

The flight attendants tried their best to be helpful anytime. the plane was almost full, probably the last several raws were left unsold only.

The legroom was nice. it has 8 business and 162 ecenomy class seats. there was nothing to be entertained of. no screen, no inflight magazine. they were very unprepared.

The ticker price was nice as one big bag and onboard meal was included, but hope next time there would be something kosher for Israeli passengers, because 99% of them could not eat anything. and the food was a little bit dry. Again here, no Logo, no text, nothing. it was just in plastic "bags".

Landing in Tbilisi airport. we proceeded at the gate number 103. the airport was not that crowded so everything went smooth. Thanks for the gate as well!

In Total, the airline was okey, they have a huge work to do regarding PR/Marketing as most of thei passangers dont know which company they fly, they have to take care the meal as well. the price was incredbilly cheap, thats why there is a big demand, so they raised TBS_TLV_TBS flights from 3X to 4X from november.

They are also starting flights to Europe, only Athens is confirmed by now. Anyway its a shame there is no direct flight from Tbilisi to Milan, Rome, Dusseldorf, Tallin, Madrid, Copenhagen, Stockholm.
And the flights to Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Cologne, Vienna, which are operated by Georgian Airways is strangely too much expansive for an average budget traveller to buy. it would be nice to see competition on these routes as well.

most of the passengers travelling from Milan to Tbilisi or vise versa, based on my experience, use Turkish Airlines or Wizz air depending on their budget. but since wizz air tickets are not cheap anymore, most of them choose to travel via Istanbul, or via Riga or warsaw.

Nice report of an unheard airline in Europe.
I agree there´s a lot to improve especially in the branding of the airline, hopefully they will become a low cost option to fly out of Georgia...

Thanks for sharing your first report and the first report on this brand new airline! It seems that MyWay have quite a bit of work to do on branding and service protocols, but I hope they are able to figure it out and succeed as added competition in the market is always good for prices and passengers. I'm surprised they would show a flight as being operated by Hahn Air (IATA code HR) since Hahn Air don't operate 737s. I'm guessing this is more marketing start-up confusion as Hahn Air Systems is a n airline sales and distribution platform, and may be handling MJ's sales. I understand that some platforms may incorrectly show the flight as operated by Mihin Lanka as MJ was their code before they went our of business 2 years ago and some systems may not have been updated to show the code MJ as having been reassigned by IATA to MyWay.

In addition to all the branding confusion, not offering Kosher meals out of TLV is very amateurish and a major oversight. Again, hopefully they will get their act together soon or they'll have a difficult time attracting and keeping customers.

It seems like the structure they were using is very similar to VLM's way of booking your flight through Hahn Air(though for VLM, it did not work out as they just went bankrupt). They indeed should sell their tickets under their name asap to promote their name to become a reliable brand.

    Thanks for your review :)
