Welcome to my final trip report of LATAM Airlines aboard their A350, the best long-haul plane in the world. Today we will have a look at the 10,5 hours flight to Barcelona.

LATAM VIP Lounge GRU
Well, this lounge took my breath away. I knew that it is spacious and new but all the features surprised me after all the domestic experience with LA. So what can you expect from LATAM VIP Lounge at Sao Paulo Guarulhos? The lounge was nearly empty during my morning visit so I had the opportunity to take a lot of photos for you. As you can see, there is plenty of space for everyone. Seating varies from eating space to armchairs. There is also a sleeping room, absolutely dark and quiet with 4 beds.

The best part absolutely were the toilets and showers. There are so many pods and all of them are so nicely equipped that many lounges in the world can only envy. You should expect no waiting time here.
But let's talk about dining. This is the part where the lounge is not so good. I arrived at 10 AM when breakfast selection was available. After many days in Brazil, I finally had a good espresso, fresh fruit and some sandwiches and pastries available. But do not expect much. No hot food options…there is a lot of space for LATAM to improve.

Lunch service came with a little-improved selection. Small snacks like smoked salmon rolls were available, also tomato soup, hot vegetables and 3 types of salad (I chose the option with cheese, nuts, and apples). All in all nice selection but for the intercontinental lounge, I would expect more. Much more. Maybe (as the trend says) a restaurant-style dining? Think of it, LATAM!

Boarding on time and here we are in the nice business class cabin of the same A350 which flew me to Brazil!

Menu for today flight was avaiting us along with amenity kit and again so nice pillow and sheets. Really great they do not offer just thin blankets but full sheets! Nuts and champagne distributed, meal orders taken.

Takeoff

Dinner was nice but the service is again a little dissapointing, the crew should be better trained. Also the food is nothing to talk about

Flying into the night and 5 hours sleep

And the breakfast is finally served 90 minutes before landing. They do not offer espresso and also the quality of juices was very poor on this flight. Todays catering was so bad :(

I beleive this report. LATAM is never VARIG
A beautiful aircraft and cabin, too bad the catering is not so great and served on one tray. There's enough time to do a full service on a 10+ hour flight. Thanks for sharing!
