Hi,
I headed to Bahrain Airport late in the evening for this red eye departure at 2:15 AM in the morning.
Bahrain Airport has a very small and old fashioned terminal building - however there is a dedicated First & Business Class check in section that handles premium passengers of all airlines departing from Bahrain. The area provides some comfortable seating and leads into a dedicated passport & security check area.

Soon I was airside and made my way to the Dilmun Lounge that British Airways uses here at Bahrain.
The lounge is ok but nothing special and very cramped at this time of the day as almost all flights to Europe leave Bahrain late in the night / early morning.

Boarding to our Boeing 777-200 started on time and made quick progress.

Soon I settled into my aisle seat 14G. You can find some shots of my seat and the area around me in the pictures below.
In general the aisle seats feel more spacy than the window seats - however they offer almost no privacy as you basically sit in the aisle and also it misses useful stowage places like for glasses, mobile phone, drink glasses etc. Still the seat is comfortable for sitting in and relaxing.
Sleeping however was very difficult as the seat is so narrow and also short. I could never really stretch out and also not lean to the side as the wall is directly next to you meaning you cannot move your knee anywhere to the side properly. As a consequence I found this Business Class product one of the most uncomfortable ones to sleep in among those I have tried so far.

Already placed on the seat where a nice big pillow and a big package containing nice blankets and bed mattress. Those were nice features. Also on the seat was a noice cancelling headset.
Soon a friendly female flight attendant offered an amenity kit & a bottle of water to me. The kit contained everything that is needed including some skin cosmetics.

Some minutes later pre departure drinks were offered where I had a glass of nice champagne.

After that menus were distributed including breakfast order cards.
A light snack was about to be offered after take off and you had to make your selection for breakfast service before landing.

We departed some minutes late into the dark skies over the Gulf region and started our journey to London which was scheduled to take 6 hours 50 minutes tonight.
About 30 minutes after take off I was approached by the friendly flight attendant and asked if I wanted some snack before sleeping. I ordered the cheese board together with some fruits. This snack tasted fine and I had a glass of wine and water with it.

Soon I prepared my bed and tried to get some sleep. Unfortunately sleeping was very difficult on this seat and I only got some very mediocre hours of snoozing or some kind of sleep.
About 1 hour 15 minutes out of London the cabin lights were turned on and the ordered breakfasts were served. No hot towels were provided throughout the whole flight which was some kind of strange.
I started with some fruits, nice warm pastries and muesli.

Soon the fruit plate was removed and my main course of omelette served.

The breakfast tasted very nice and soon we approached busy London Heathrow.
After some cycling we finally landed in still dark Heathrow on time.
