We rent a car one way and toured around Banff National Park. It was one of the most beautiful parks in the world. We finished the trip in Calgary and took this one way flight to Vancouver before returning to Singapore.
CHINOOK Lounge calgary (concourse A)
We arrived at the airport quite early so we decided to check out the only lounge available to priority pass users in domestic terminal. Our flight leaves from concourse B, which was quite far from this lounge. Luckily there is an electric trolly that runs in a loop between the concourses so we took that.
The lounge itself is pretty barren even by domestic standard. There is an area for plane watching, self-serve bar with wine and liquor, and a fridge filled with wrapped sandwiches. The seating area consisted of high tables and couches. It was not crowed during our visit mid day. The Aspire lounge in US and international concourses looked more modern in pictures. Unfortunately domestic passenger do not have access to them.

Flight
The seats had decent leg room. Entertainment system was surprisingly good for a plane used for domestic flights, it had a decent selection of movies and show. Flight attendants came around during the flight with snacks and soft drinks. As it was a short flight, I was half way through a movie before we had to prepare for landing.

Hi VFMlife,
- The Chinook lounge in Calgary is similar to those airline clubs in the US except the part that this lounge had free alcoholic beverages.
- The seats facing the apron could provide a good time to spend at the lounge.
- Were you seated in the emergency exit row, the legroom is enormous; I didn't expect this much legroom from Air Canada?
- Was BoB available on this flight or was it just water and snacks?
Thanks for sharing and looking forward for your CI A359 report.
Hi VFMLife, thanks for sharing this quick report on AC domestic service. The Chinook lounge seems to have a pretty decent offering for a North American third party lounge. The Air Canada short-haul Y product is among the best in North America--I like that AC consistently offer IFE--something other North American carriers are getting away from.
