Welcome to this short trip report of my recent flight to Faro. I had made an advance seat reservation for an extra legroom seat in the first 10 rows of this Eurowings flight. This fee of 25 EUR also included a free snack & drink which would otherwise not have been included in my Basic fare ticket.
Boarding started on time early in the morning. Once on board you could clearly identify that this was a former Air Berlin aircraft as it featured Air Berlin style seats still with entertainment moduls in the armrests. However it had been upgraded to Lufthansa Group style leather color. The seat pitch in this extra legroom seat was perfect.

During boarding a beautiful Triple Seven of Thai Airways arrived from Bangkok and docked next to us.
We started push back with a slight delay - the plane was almost fully occupied.
At deicing position an Air France Airbus passed by lining up in sunrise colors lining up for departure to Paris CDG.
Soon we powered into beautiful sunrise sceneyry along the Alps.

Once the cruising altitude was reached for this 2 hours 45 minutes flight the cabin crew had bad news: the water heating & coffee machines were broken - so no coffee or tea could be served which is probably the worst news you can have on such an early morning flight. This shows one more time the technical problems of the older Air Belin aircraft that Eurowings took over in quite a bad shaope and which also let to delays in getting them running last year within the new Eurowings home.
Quite a while into the flight the cabin crew rolled down a trolley with the Buy on Board snacks & drinks.
They also had to check a passenger list at every row and offered a snack & one free drink to passengers who were entitled to that service. This included me :) The only free options for food were either a small sandwich or a small marble cake. I had the sandwich and selected tomato juice as my free drink choice.
The sandwich was ok but very tiny.
Flight continued smoothly with much legroom and after a duty free shop run the drinks trolley passed by a second time with more Buy on Board items. As I was still hunry I decided to buy a sweet item for 2,50 EUR from their carnival special which tasted ok but nothing more.
During approach into Faro I could enjoy some nice views of beautiful Algarve coast.
Thanks for reading, FlyAlex

The flight was quite a fine low cost product within Europe - however the free snack could really be a little bit more substantial.
