Hi,
Security was quick and well organized here at Faro and after some time in the nice Duty free & food area of Faro Airport I headed to the rather dull boarding gate.
Boarding lanes had already been set up which let to a very well organized boarding some minutes later.

A friendly cabin crew welcomed me onboard this Airbus 319 where I took my seat in row 15 which was made up of the standard Econoym seat with quite basic seats and limited seat pitch. TAP splits their medium haul flights into two segments: The first half has very good seats with a lot of legroom. Those seats are used for Business Class and for Econoym passengers who pay an extra fee. The second half is made of the seats you see here and come only with basic comfort and e.g. have no recline at all.
For this short hop they were however fine enough.

The flight ended up quite empty and we departed perfectly on time for the 25 minutes hop to Lisbon.

During the flight I could enjoy some very nice sunset views alonmg the Portuguese coast.

No inflight service was provided at all - from what I could see also nothing was provided in the Buiness Class cabin. Very bad to see that they don't even offer a glass of water in Business Class while for comparison Lufthansa serves a complete cold meal in Business Class and a huge selection of free drinks in Economy Class on similar domestic flights of 30 minutes between Munich & Frankfurt.

Flight was over quickly and we touched down soon at Lison Airport where we docked next to a nice TAP Express ATR.

Hi FlyAlex, thanks for this report on such a short leg. Stunning views of Faro! :)
Just a little comment on the lack of catering and your subsequent 0 grade, which I find quite harsh:
Distance FAO-LIS is 75% of MUC-FRA. Flight times average 25min and 40min respectively. Giving a very tight 10mins to both climb and descent, this leaves 5 minutes to TP to prepare trolleys, serve the whole cabin and collect trash vs. 25 minutes to LH. Even for LH it is an absolute sprint, no chance for TP to make this work.
Having taken both legs quite frequently, I cannot see how TP is supposed to pull off a drink service on that short hop without compromising their safety during climb and descent.
Regards from CGN :)
Hi. Thanks a lot for your Feedback. I totally agree that it is not needed to conduct a full drink service on a flight of 25 Minutes. However I missed any gesture of service: at least crew could walk down the aisle offering Bonbons or small water bottles on such a hop - or offer that from a basket during boarding on the ground at aircraft entrance like other carriers do.
Any small offering would at least highlight TAPs approach of still being a full service legacy carrier.
However of course the nice sunset views were also service enough ;)
