Review of Delta Air Lines flight Gulfport → Atlanta in Premium Eco

Hello! This is my first flight report so please pardon any errors and comment any suggestions to make my reviews better! Anyway, on to the report itself. I would be traveling to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for a quick weekend trip. I usually fly out of New Orleans because it offers a lot more options and airlines than the airports closest to me however I decided to fly out of Gulfport this trip because it is closer to me and was actually cheaper. I would be taking Delta through Atlanta for this trip in Economy Comfort+. Since my flight departed at 6:00 A.M., I had to be at the airport by 4 and I left my house at 2:30. I thought about getting a room at one of the nearby hotels the night before but I decided to not spend any additional money. 

At the airport

In my opinion, Gulfport is one of the best small airports in the country. Many people do not even know that it exists. I got to the airport a little later than expected at 4:50 A.M. and had my bag checked by 5:05 A.M. After checking my bag, I proceeded to security which was slower than usual for the small airport, but this was expected given all the early morning flights at that hour. I was not given TSA-Precheck so I had to go through the regular security lane. I was out of security at about 5:25 A.M. I stopped at an airside store for some candy and a drink and then I walked to gate 5. Since I was seated in Economy Comfort+, I boarded early and was on the aircraft in no time.

On the aircraft

I had chosen seat 11A, the second window seat on the left of the aircraft in Comfort+. I had a large amount of legroom even though I am 6'4. Delta has IFE's and AC Power Outlets installed on all of their A320 aircraft. Since this was a short flight, I would not watch any movies or shows on it but I did play some games and watch the inflight map. Our updated flight time was now 57 minutes. The bulkhead seats in front of me lacked a large bulkhead so I could watch the first class services from my seat. I noticed that pre-departure drinks were catered to a passenger's desire which I believe is rare for a lot of airlines, especially on this short flight. We pushed back from the gate at 6:00 A.M. and only had an American CRJ-900 going to Dallas in front of us. We took off rather abruptly at 6:12 A.M.

Drinks Service began about 15 minutes into the flight and I was given biscoff and Cheese-Itz along with the apple juice I had chosen for my drink. One of the perks of Comfort+ is that you can receive your service very early since you are at the front of the aircraft. On this short of a flight, I noticed that passengers in the back didn't receive their drinks until we were about to prepare for arrival. After receiving my drinks, I decided to check on the amenities of the IFE. I didn't use it for movies since I forgot earphones and the flight was rather short to enjoy anything. In my opinion, Delta has one of the best IFE's for an American airline. They offer lots of movies, shows, and games. Even their tracking map was superb.

We finally prepared for our descent at 7:48 A.M. ET and touched down at 8:05 A.M. We then taxied for a few minutes to gate A31. My next flight would depart right across from us at gate A32. I now had a little over 2 hours in the airport to grab some food.
