Hi,
I arrived at a busy Munich Airport - however security check was still rather quick.
I had some quick breakfast at the Lufthansa G gates Business Lounge before proceeding to my gate.
Boarding to our Airbus 320 was delayed by ca. 15 minutes.
The flight was completely full and I took my window seat behind the wing. A flight time of 2 hours 20 minutes was announced and we powered into a thick layer of rainy clouds.
About 25 minutes after take off a trolley was rolled down and the very friendly and always smiling cabin crew offered a sandwich (choice between cheese & beef pastrami). Drink selections follwoed the first time ca. 15 minutes later.
The sandwich tasted ok but nothing great. Also I am always disappointed that Porto flight of over two hours do only get sandwiches while Lisbon recieves warm meals in Economy although this segment is only some minutes longer. A crew member once explained to me that Lufthansa considers Lisbon a prestige route and by this recieves warm meals. Other Portugues cities like Porto or Faro however only get sandwiches. A strange routine especially as flights to Faro are longer than to Lisbon.
A nice feature however was that the drinks trolley appeared again ca. 15 minutes later to offer refills.
Flight continued smoothely with some nice scenic views passing France and Spain.
Approach into Porto was also nice with views along the Portuguese Atlantic coast before touchdown.
Thanks for reading,
