Hi,
Arriving at the airport curbside this morning I spotted the iconic building that is a landmark of LAX airport.

Check In at LAX Terminal 2 was quick and efficient in the designated Delta area.

Priority check in is provided behind this nicely decorated wall - however not for me today.

Once airside the boarding gate was still quite empty and I did some spotting of other Delta movements and had a small breakfast.

My splendid looking Boeing 767-300 was already waiting at the gate surrounded by some Delta branded shuttle buses.

Boarding started perfectly at 8:40 AM as printed on the baording pass. This was one of the most relaxed and orderly boarding processes I have ever experienced. The group boarding by zones really worked fine. I was welcomed by a very friendly cabin crew, passed the very nice looking Delta One cabin and headed into Delta Comfort section.

However I headed further back to my regular Economy cabin seat just behind the wings. The seats were comfortable and provided a totally fine seat pitch.

The atmosphere on board was very calm & relaxed with very nice ambience music played in the background.

We pushed back perfectly on time with a flight time of 5 hours 35 minutes announced and a very funny safety video being played.
We passed some Southwest planes before being ready to power into the skies in a westerly direction straight out over the Pacific Ocean.

We banked around and climbed to our cruising altitude.

The flight progressed providing some nice scenic views of California and Arizona heading to the East.

Ca. 25 minutes after departure cabin crew offered head sets for sale and distributed menus. Those menus really surprised me in a positive way and described the 3 different snack that would complimentary be on offer for lunch.

About 45 minutes into the flight the very friendly crew distributed the lunch snack boxes according to your choice from a trolley. I had the Casablanca Veggie Combo. This dish tasted very nice and actually was quite filling as well. Accompanied by some fruit and a chocolate it was a very good lunch.

The bottom of the box is also branded by Delta and you find a refreshing towel there.

For comparison here is a quick shot of the Beef Pastrami Sandwich which my travel companion took. It also tasted good according to his feedback.

The entertainment system was modern and provided a great selection of movies, games etc. It definitely helped this transcontinental run to pass by quickly.
It was amazing that the cabin crew passed by the cabin very often to offer more water for refreshment. That is hard to find on many longhaul flights in this frequency.
Here is a view of the Economy cabin of this nice old 767 lady - still one of my favourite aircraft types.

Some nice scenery accompanied the trip along the flight.

Once we came closer to the East coast, cabin crew rolled down the cabin with their trolleys again ca. 1,5 hours before landing. This time you could again choose from some nice snacks where I opted for some almonds and another drink.

Sunset had already started when we descended into JFK airport where we landed almost perfectly on time.

Upon landing we passed some nice other aircraft movements during sunset before we finally docked at our boarding bridge.
