Scoot's 787 Economy Class from Singapore to Chennai
After coming to singapore in SIngapore Airlines for the return journey decided to try LCC for return journey and scoot looked appealing because its a dreamliner

Booking was done a month before and only hand baggage comes in with the ticket. If your'e planning to take luggage you have to pay as a addon in their website. I prebooked luggage and a meal before hand.
At the Airport:
I arrived at singapore changi Airport T2 3hrs before departure so that I will have more time to take a look at Jewel Changi. Check in formalities was not great. In the self check in counter there was only one old aged person who was trying his best to help but it took more time to send our luggages through self check in counter. I would have preffered some one else assisted.
Once done I decided to head to the jewel changi which is interconnected from all terminals. It was woww there where lot of shops and entertainment offerings to spend your time. After an hour we headed back to T2 and immigration was absolute breeze compared to chennai. Our gate was very nearby now I have to spend nearly 1hr45mins in gate. Near gate side and then our gate was opened and I finished my security. There it was announced there will be a small delay of 15mins.
Boarding:
Boarding call was made at 10.40PM and scoot biz passengers where called upon first and then the economy class. Economy class passengers pass through scoot biz which looked more like a premium economy seats. Then I just settled in my seat near the wings. View of that wings was fabulous. Coming to the seats it was just ok there was no IFE but through scoot app we can access contents through mobile. As I was not sure how to work with it.
787 was very silent compared to the A330 and we started of towards chennai 15mins behind schedule. Once air bound mood lights where on in the 787 and service started.
IN Flight:
Scoot menu was reasonable but I had a pre ordered meal which was delivered first. Meal is fried rice with chicken stew, a coke and Ritter sports cornflakes chocolate which tasted nice. Meal looked bland and not tasty. Once meal service is done I slept for an hour. Scoottv and wifi are available for charge.
Landing:
PA announced landing before 45mins which was really a bit early. Landing was smooth and we parked near cathay pacific A330 which was ready to depart to Hong Kong. After landing it was utter chaos in chennai Airport the lines are huge and no proper staffs it took 1hr plus to get the stamping then we have to pass through another security for checking hand baggage which had only 1 line. Then baggage arrived pretty slow after 30mins.
