Getting on-board my connection flight in Almaty International Airport (ALA) to Istanbul (IST), the aircraft serving me was P4-KDE, a newly delivered A321neo.
The flight was fully-loaded, most of them were connecting passengers.
The cabin was clean, every passengers were given an amenity kit, though it was not a red-eye flight.
The in-flight meal was generally great. The main course was fried fish with potato mash, with a side course of a middle-east styled salad. The main dish was hot enough with perfect taste. However, the salad was weird, probably was not my cup of tea.
The modern and sensitive in-flight entertainment system gave a pleasant flight experience on-board, although the choice of movies are quite limited and not too updated, but luckily I found an interesting movie for my time there.
Flying over the Caucasus Mountain
Approaching Istanbul
The arrival hall of IST
It was generally a pleasant flight, with a comfort seat and legroom. The meal was great, but the cabin crews were not friendly enough.

Hi Steven,
first welcome aboard! And nice review, informative yet compact (not like mine...^^). Air Astana's product looks good for a 5hr flight, even with personal displays instead of streaming IFE. Also great photos of the Kaukasus mountains and Istanbul.
Hi Steven_MHT, thanks for sharing this first report here with us! It's nice to see a report on Air Astana, which I've always thought was a cool little carrier. Your report confirms that they are deserving of their good reputation and the 321neo cabin looks really nice, especially the huge IFE screens. Nice to see some carriers still care about IFE on narrowbodies, while 2 of 3 major US carriers are getting rid of PTVs on narrowbodies.
Welcome to Flight-Report!
The cabin looks really good and comfy! I really like the seats. The meal also look really tasty tho.. Was there any second meal service or snack?
