Introduction
Hello everyone!
Its another great day to fly!
Just flew back to Manila last September for a short visit, since most of my report is about PRs service i did not bother to documents my trip from SIN to MNL as it was as usual. Except for this flight from MNL to SIN as it was on a Boeing 777-300ER of PR. Tho i chose this flight because upon booking, it already stated that it will be a B777 aircraft will be utilized.
This is the first time im flying with this type of aircraft for PR as most of their planes i already experienced it already. So im excited to fly with this bird and share with you all.
NInoy aquino international airport terminal 2
I intended to be at the airport ahead of schedule as i need to check-in early so i can catch up with my friends who works at the airport. So i arrive like 4 hours before the flight and manage to get my boarding pass in less that 5 minutes as that time it a quite and with relax atmosphere around the terminal. i queued at the bag drop counter as i already did an online check.
Usually, as you enter the terminal, on the right hand side are the check-in counter for Southeast Asian flights flights. however, this time it was dedicated for LAX flight and other flights is on the left hand side.
As you all know NAIA Terminal 2 is just an airport that do its job for a fly in fly out airport, there is nothing much to do there and not much restaurant, coffee and food shops inside the terminal. when i met my friend, we decided to go out and head to arrival area for a coffee and breakfast and chit chat thei and kill sometime.
NAIA's simple Control Tower, Check in counters.
Boarding
More than an hour before the flight, we decided to head back inside the terminal. Since she works there, we used a special lane for employees to passed through the security and let me used the immigration counter for foreigners. By the ways, for NAIA T2, there are 2 set of immigration counters on the right side is for Philippine Passport holders, while on the right side are for Foreign Nationals. I managed to get through the initial security check, immigration check and final security check in less that 10 minutes.
Boarding gates of Terminal 2. Few Duty Free shops.
Boarding is on time and follows the procedure by groups.
7781 is the second youngest B77 fleet of PR.
on board
We boarded at door 2L and you will passed by a small J cabin with 2 rows of seats in 2x3x2 configurations. it seems an empty J flight to SIN. it was an old J product of PR if its an almost empty flight i dont mind but if those are full i feel that it will fee that im not in business class as there where no privacy and you might need to hop on to other passengers if you need to get out and go to toilets.
PR's B777s dont have a premium economy cabin instead they do have a more legroom standard economy seats. Economy class has 3x4x3 configuration. it was ok and just nice for a more that 3 hours of flight.
As head and settle to my seats i immediately explore my seat. Pillow and headphones are already pre placed on each seats and blanket are available for request tho there is no amenity kits available for this flight.
legroom is spacious, better that their narrow bodied planes, it was very good for a more that 3 hours of flight. recline is also decent enough.
Seatback pocket contents are their Mabuhay Magazines, Sky Boutique Magazine (their duty free menu), air sickness bag and their safety information card.
I like their foldable table that can be a full table or just half to put some of your staff or a snacks and drink.
IFE is very good and so much of this regional flight, a lot of movies with different genre and languages, music tv series, moving maps and magazine. No games tho.
Pushed back is on time. while they are playing their safety video. as we queue for runways we passed by some airplane s at hangar.
Xiamen's B737 is still there, with PAF ATR (?, im not sure if that is atr. lol), PR's A320neo, JQ's A320s and BA A380.
And took off, Mabuhay and Goodbye Manila!
After 45 minutes after take off, around over Palawan, meal service started. there were 2 options available that crews says and i opt for a Beef curry as a main with kani salad, bread and butter, dried mangoes, a small chocolate bar and ginger ale as a beverage. my ginger ale trick works again this time. after the meal cabin crew offer hot drinks but that time i asked for water only.
after the meal service, cabin crew offer their duty free shopping on a cart.
some views on my window. and can you guess what airport that we flyover?
i dont think i manage to take some photo when we arrived at Changi, but i know most of you already know how beautiful Changi is and maybe you may read my previous trip IN and Out of changi.
Hope you enjoy my report and on the next report.
