Hi,
Check In at the EVA Air premium counter was a breeze and very friendly.

Security & passport control also was done within minutes via the dedicated Fast Track section.
Once airside I did some shopping and also passed this nice Thai sculpture.

The last 40 minutes before boarding I spent in the EVA Air lounge located at F pier. It has a very modern and extraordinary design - nice but I am not sure if I am the biggest fan of it.

The lounge offered quite a big selection of cold & warm food plus beverages. However I only had some dumplings, mango sticky rice and fruit.

The toilets are accessed via a futuristic dark area and offer some nice views of the apron.

On the way to my gate I tried to get at least some shots of my EVA Air 777-300ER.

Once 'boarded' you are also tuck within your gate here at Bangkok - however a dedicated premium passenger waiting area was provided. Boarding however was delayed by ca. 20 minutes due to late arrival of the crew.

I was greeted very friendly on baord and took my window seat in the last row of the second smaller Business Class cabin.

The seat is very comfortable and prvides a lot of space. Actually I think the seating comfort on this older seat is better than on the new seats used by EVA Air on their 787s.

The seat also provides a lot of practical storage areas.

Waiting on the seat was a nice thick cushion, a perfect duvet blanklet and slippers.

Soon I was greeted by a friendly cabin crew who introduced herself by name and also asked me how she sould call me during the flight. My order for the pre deaparture drink was also taken at this time. I had some sparling wne which was served with a chocolate and a hot towel.

As boarding continued next some pyjamas were distributed.

This was followed by a nice amenity kit - which had a lot of content. However it missed some socks which were then offered to me separately upon my request.

Some noice cancelling headsets were also distributed now.

Next the menu wine list for this flight were distributed. I had already pre ordered my main dishes online.

A flight time of 12 hours 20 minutes was announced and we pushed back passing a nice Ethiopian 787 and an EVA Air sister 777.

We overtook a Swiss 777 that was also being pushed back and that would follow us soon on her trip to Zurich,

We powered into nice sunny skies climbing to our cruising altitude.

Once released the cabin crew took meal orders for both lunch and pre arrival meal and asked for the drinks to go with the prelude service. I ordered some champagne.
Soon the prelude appetizers & champagne were served.

Next nice table clothes were distributed.

*

Some minutes later the starter was served which was followed by a selection of nice warm bread from a basket.

*

The service was very personal and crew was always there to refill drinks etc.
Next a tasty soup was served.

This was followed by a salad.

My pre ordered main dis of beef fillet was not that good - the sauce and potatoes were nice, however the meat was way to dry.

The dessert trolley passed by and I had some cake and fruit. I had some great tasting caramel tea with it.

Also I ordered some very tasty Japanese plum liqueur.

Another hot towel finished the lunch service and cabin attendants now offered to cover the seats with a comfortable bed mattress for improved resting - another nice touch. Fiji water bottles were also handed out now.

I watched a couple of movies, and slept a little bit. The toilet was always kept clean and also provided some nice amenities and cosmetics.

A small selection of snacks & drinks was provided in the galley also.

About 2 hours 15 minutes before landing another hot towel started the second meal service.

I was first offered my ordered drinks - some fruit juice mix and a very nice Jasmine tea served in a special cup.

Next the starter tray way offered followed by some warm bread from a basket.

Afterwards the main dish - some tasty chicken penne were served. I had another glass of very tasty Spanish red wne with it.

The meal ended with some fruit and another tea.

Cabin crew now started to collect the menus and I asked f I can keep it as a souvenir. This was no problem at all and the very friendly cabin crew even came back with some more EVA Air souvenirs: some playing cards and a set of paper and post cards with EVA Air motives. This was a great and very personal touch.

Once descend started, a farewell candy was offered from a tray. Also the atmosphere during descend until parking was very calm and relaxed with some nice calming music played in the cabin. We touched down on time at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport where a great flight came to an end.

Lovely trip report of a top-notch carrier. Great photos too. Thank you!
Hello Alex and thank you for this excellent report.
Like other reporters FRists describe very well and for a long time their "solo" seat and abandon the full description of the "honeymoon" seats.
If the cabin viewed from the back has been photographed, however a front view is missing to observe the layout of these central seats.
So I launch my personal test to all the FRists : "TonTonChristian test" to show and evaluate the central "honeymoon" seats of your next business class trip ...
See you soon.
Hi FlyAlex,
It looks like the EVA lounge in Bangkok is similar to their Infinity Lounge in Taipei. The amenity kit looks interesting. I’m sad they discontinued the partnership with Rimowa, though I am not sure you got them except when flying out of Taipei. Everything else looked as great as I remembered from my last EVA flight.
Thanks for the report!
