The flight covered is my Zurich to London flight with SWISS, onboard their Airbus A220-100, an aircraft I simply adore. For its small size, this aircraft's interior is comparable to the A350's comfort.
There I am on the way to Zurich, to catch my early morning peak flight to London. Funny fact, as I used to work at LCY by the time of this flight, as soon as I landed, I went back to work right after clearing immigration. Comes very handy to finish your vacation and make it to work immediately.

The check-in area was very busy, but I already had my boarding pass on my phone, and did not have any luggage. I passed through the business class lane with my Star Alliance status and went through security. It was very efficient and made it quick airside.
The birds below are preparing to their respective departure airports

As I had a very long ahead, I headed straight to have breakfast at Marché. Love this place in Zurich! But be prepared to pay a large sum of money. Remember that this is Switzerland!

It is still early morning, almost all shops are still closed.

I then headed for Starbucks to have a nice well needed coffee.
Now is time to board! Hello Matterhorn, missed you.

The pole covered the blurring already hehe.

Hello JBA

How elegant are those seats?

Lovely view of the winglet.

Good legroom, really comfortable. Compared to their bigger A320/A321s, I would rather choose the A220 over the 320 family.

The famous A220 overhead. Tiny screens, but still readable.

The seats in profile view.

We then started those engines and taxied to the active runway.

We then aligned behind the company A320 that departed just in front of us to Heathrow.

And takeoff! Off we come London/

Let's start enjoying the view, shall we?

That's just after flying over the clouds!

Things are starting to be stunning up there. Such a motivation for a Monday morning!

Colours were very vivid and changing up there, it was really beautiful.

The tray table is quite big.

Then commenced the service. It wasn't the famous cheese sandwiches, but a Preztel croissant instead. It was great! Alongside was served beverages.

And then look who came!

Shortly after my smile was wide visible, we commenced our gradual descent towards City Airport.

With the sun coming in!

Good morning to the UK!

We started approaching runway 27 for landing at LCY/EGLC. Flaps down.

And the HMP Prisons in sight. Note the speed-brakes down as this is procedure for the approach at LCY. The descent degrees in LCY is higher than other conventional airports.

And touchdown!

Made it right on time to vacate and park to our parking position Stand 23.

And we parked self-maneuvered, can you see how BA CityFlyer aircraft are parked? We did the same thing.

Deboarding was done by bus, as it is the case for international flights to City.

Last view of JBA, taken from inside the bus.

Many thanks for reading!
