Hi,
I am back with some uninspiring reports.
Earlier in August I had to go to London, for this trip I didn’t choose the airline but BA was the most convenient as they are operating flights from both Charles de Gaulle and Orly.
For this day trip I will be flying out of CDG on their first flight in the morning and back to Orly (which is more convenient for me) on the evening.
Then the routing is straight forward.
- Paris CDG - London LHR (British Airways, A319) [YOU ARE HERE]
- London LHR - Paris ORY (British Airways, A319) [NEXT EPISODE]
Once again I had to wake-up early, BA just opened their dedicated check-in area located downstair.
To be fairly honest, there is nothing special here, low ceiling and not much space.
Still it gets some BA furniture like these chairs for Premium customers
Border control and security checkpoints are not crowded this morning
With a 7.30am departure, our flight is the first of the day from this terminal and clearly the less exotic destination mentioned here :(
Lounges are located one level up
Etihad Airways
Emirates
The new American Airlines Admirals Club (refers to this report for a comprehensive review: http://flight-report.com/fr/report-4793.html)
And the last one is Cathay Pacific, as you know if you are travelling on a OneWorld operating flight and if you are an eligible customer (Premium class or elite) you can use any OneWorld lounge.
This new CX lounge is beautiful and is similar in design to The Wing or The Cabin of HKG

Unobstructed view of the aircraft, here an Air Austral 777-300ER who probably arrived from Saint-Denis earlier this morning, this aircraft will stay the whole day at CDG before leaving in the evening back to La Reunion, kind of a waste.
Buffet selection is however a bit limited; if I am referring to other Flight-Report it seems to be better for lunch, presentation is flawless though.
Liquors
Soft and wines
And a very good point, true Champagne!
I guess this is the famous noodle bar
It’s time to head for the boarding
A45 is assigned this morning; boarding is done in a very relaxed way.
As you may have noticed and even if we are in the beginning of August weather is awfull !
AA 767-300ER
Safety briefing is presented on the overhead monitors.
We are taxiing to the north for a 09R departure; we are passing Terminal 1 on our left.
Let’s get outta here !
Winglet
I am seated on the first row right behind the Club World on the left side, which means good legroom.
Great seat inclinaison
And fantastic blocked middle seat !
As we are on the morning service is a filled croissant with bacon, tomato and spinach
Hot drinks as well as OJ are offered, that may seems obvious but AF still refuses to serve OJ on morning flights for Y pax!
I found it very tasty and more filling than nano croissant served by AF.
No need to say that this flight is short
Pocket content
And then we are doing a U turn (or we are put on hold)
And we are not the only one
Windsor
Air Canada A319 which is operating the shortest transatlantic flight to St Johns (see this report:http://flight-report.com/fr/report-397.html )
Terminal 3 in full swing
There may be a Flight-Reporter on this airplane named Y*** ^^
Or on this one.
Is BA ubiquitous at LHR ?

Thanks for sharing this FR
Congratulations on your BA silver(at least) status ;)
See you soon
Thanks 007, c u!
Thanks you for this good FR :)
Wonderful view of the UU & AA 77W <3 !!!!
Thank you, and yes indeed, the new AA livery is suited the 77W very well.
Thanks for this good FR! I think you succeeded in sexing-up an ordinary CDG-LHR with the CX lounge visit and the Windsor Castle shot! I like that BA allows Silvers into lounges and I like the OW rule that allows pax to use any OW lounge they chose.
Thanks for this FR.
I like the design of thé new CX lounge.
Thank you for this FR ,
À bientôt
Very interesting report, and interesting that BA Y offering seems superior to AF!
