Summary of my CX Business class CGK-HKG
Hello everyone,
Here are my trip report with Cathay Pacific Business class from Jakarta to Tokyo via Hongkong.
In this report I will only write the first segment of the flight which is Jakarta to Hongkong flight.
I choose Cathay pacific because I was planning to have a stopover in Hongkong but then decided to just have a long layover in HK since all the demo and stuff going on in HK.
My flight with CX will depart at 00.20 am.
We left the house around 9 pm and it was sunday night so the traffic was smooth only took us around 30 minutes to the airport at Soekarno Hatta Terminal 3.
The check in area for business class pax is empty so it was a fast smooth check in then we went inside to the immigration then to the lounge.
CX uses Saphire Lounge/Plaza Premium Lounge in Terminal 3 Soekarno Hatta near gate 5.
The lounge at that time was pretty empty not many pax since it's already late around 10pm and not so many flight depart at that time.
Lounge is pretty ok with some selections of food and drink to choose from. Lots of seating area to choose from. Got some chair with view of the tarmac.
After spending around an hour at the lounge then it's time to board the airplane.

First: 6 (flat bed)
Business: 53 (flat bed)
Premium Economy: 34
Economy: 201
Total Passengers: 294
My seat: 11A (First compartment of J Class)
First class was not sold in this route, so no pax sitting in F class.
Cathay use 777-300ER because of the high season only after that they swap back to A330 or A350 or 777-300 with no F Class.
The boarding process was fast since not a full flight not high season anymore since it's already beginning of January.
The load in J Class CX was very light, only 20-30% I guess since the second row of J Class was pretty empty.
Upon boarding I was serve with hot towel and choose Orange Juice as Pre Departure Beverage.
After take off we are serve with supper meal with a choice of Roasted chicken or roasted lamb rack.
I opted for lamb rack accompany with some garlic bread.
While waiting the meal being prepared i ask for Cathay Pacific signature drink Oriental Breeze.
The roasted lamb rack was good and delicious not tough nor gamey.
After meal I ask for Hongkong Milk Tea before getting some sleep.
Slept a decent 1-2 hours since it was such a short flight only 4 hours something.
Didn't even get to watch anything on the IFE just a browse for selections of movies available.
Then it's time to land at HKIA.
We landed early morning around 6 am and the airport was very empty from the immigration to the baggage claim.
We went outside to get some breakfast and walk around HK for a while since our next flight to Tokyo is at 4.20pm.
Got almost 8 hours to kill before head back to the airport.
We use airport express to get to the city which is fast and efficient only took 30 mins to city and had Australia Dairy co for breakfast and then just walk around Tsim Tsa Tsui since nothing open yet at that early morning around 8 am.
