embaucher, debaucher?
Here the second part of my journey, I previously left you at CDG arrivals coming from Lyon.

Air France app is quite comprehensive, you can easily navigate through options, travel tips, and of course your bookings and the service you will have on board.. Of course, like many others, the app offers you the possibility to check in online and get your boarding pass.

Flying blue Miles earned with this flight: 492

As an elite skyteam member, I was able to choose for free, from the time of booking my seat.

at paris - charles de gaulle airport
Going through arrival at CDG terminal 2F is fairly easy, at least I feel this way as I walked through these buildings a lot. Connecting flights are really easy, and it has a small lounge at each of the two parts of 2F.

I really like the roof of both buildings of the 2F terminal, it is very light.

The other building of the 2F terminal. Is it me or it looks like a jambon-beurre sandwich? XD
at the 2f Air france lounge
The access to the lounge is via a small staircase/ escalator - not the fanciest entrance but does the job.

The lounge is split into two floors, both of them featuring a buffet and seating areas. I usually go to the first floor and so I felt a bit adventurous to go and check out the floor below - the Covid crisis really shrinked our adventures ability!

The lounge was actually packed, and fairly strangely, there were more foreigners (Americans, Italians, Germans….) than French people. An effect of Skyteam?
As it was the afternoon, I did not fancy having another lunch, I surrendered to my weakness: desserts!!

After just half an hour, I went to my gate, where the skyteam elite priorities were respected.
on board the a318

The AvGEEK bit
With 18 units Air france is the main operator of A318s. The smallest airbus plane can carry 131 passengers. The A318 has a taller tail of 80 cm than the rest of the A320 family which has the same specs (12,79m for the A318 instead of 11,76cm for family). This is due to the efforts on ruddering as the plane is shorter.
Air France has ordered 60 A220-300s to replace both is A318s and A319s.

After a warm announce by the captain, we pushed back on time.
We took off from runway 08L as most of the times.
We were handed a Covid form to fill in, which very strangely wasn't the case for our flight from Lyon. I was next to an Air France crew member and he told me the Prefet of Gironde asked for one, where apparently the Rhône boss doesn't.

There are still no paper magasines on board and so I read it on the app.

As you can see, ,not only the A380 has gone (of course!), there are more A350s, and 3 B777-200s less; indeed Air France is replacing the latter by the former.

As we approached bordeaux merignac airports there were fewer and fewer clouds and so I can show you this really pretty view on the Gironde river.
